They are unique and thus beautiful but humans having trouble seeing past their skin to feel that romance is not surprising seeing as how humans have trouble looking past skin in real life sometimes without adding in the fact that the Gems would out live their love is another hard thought. Greg even had trouble remembering Rose wasn't like him sometimes in the beginning because her skin looked human like and she had so much emotion. I admit it is hard to see Reggie being romantic with anyone in the cast so far which is sad because I think I would actually enjoy seeing that.
