He does his best to suppress the shudder as once again the demon calls him 'master'. He knows that Illiendi will continue to do so and he really must get used to it if he's to remain in the man's company in the future. 'It's just a word. Connotations aside, the rush of feeling powerful aside, it's just. . . .A word' He knows that argument will not be winning this day, but as he watches the beast sip his drink he manages to calm himself ever so slightly. Just enough to not have his eyes dancing when Illiendi looks back at him and begins speaking of what they will find in their travels. He first speaks of the boat trip itself, and Amano can feel his eyes going wide as Illiendi speaks of things he'd only read of in books. The child in him feels a deep wonder at the idea of these things being real, relishing the idea of seeing them in person, but the practical part of his mind realizes that such things would tear him limb from limb if given the chance. The danger of them ignites both fear and intense excitement inside the young man and he sits a little forward to hear better as the demon goes on. 'I will be able to see these things, if they show themselves, and I will be safe, for Illiendi will be with me. He has made me a promise, and I don't see him letting me die before it's fulfilled' When the word dragons leaves the demon's lips Amano's eyes go impossibly wide. He almost doesn't care that Illiendi goes on to speak of some rare stone or metal, whispering, “Dragons. . . .” under his breath, his mind going wild. The grace and power represented in such beasts has always fascinated the youth and the idea of even seeing one has his insides sparking with joy. His passion for this endeavor grows deeper and more intense, vague images of meeting and perhaps even taming or subduing one of more of these mighty beasts – these legends – has him literally thrumming with excitement. He can feel a tingle racing across his skin and he doesn't even realize he's ginning like an overly excited child as he looks up into Illiendi's beautiful eyes. Taking a steadying breath he relaxes his smile a bit, realizing that the grin is there and is likely making him look foolish. With a slow nod he sits back again, taking a sip of his tea before speaking up. “Thank you, Illiendi, for telling me these things. These creatures, this whole adventure, sounds like something that will create legends.” He raises an eyebrow with a chuckle. “Seems I will live on here long after my soul goes. . . .Elsewhere.” He shrugs. “Or not. As long as my life is as I wish it to be, then I could care less what happens after I die.” He looks up at the demon with a half smile. “After all, that's the deal. I live the life I want, and I'm all yours after that.” With a wistful sigh he looks towards the front window, cradling his teacup in his hands. “Dragons. . . Amazing. . .”
