Absolutely oozing anger, maybe sarcasm, never anger. Metz let go of his weapon because I figured the fight would be too easy with it.

Metz letting go of the chain after it fell into the water is heavily implied.

Have the gun if you wish, I never bothered to clarify it was going in the water, if you need it go for it, though it's already turned against you. Never can trust someone else's weapons.
