“Oh yay, more free food!” Melissa eagerly sat down next to the traveling merchant, clapping happily as Mikoto laid out a wide assortment of snacks and drinks. Taking a healthy sandwich in hand, she gently began rubbing the end of it near her stuffed rabbit’s mouth before pausing with a frown. “Miranda says she doesn’t like the food…oh well, more for me,” said Melissa as she took a big bite of the sandwich, munching away with little care. “You’re an agent of God?” she then asked as Astrea explained away his motives and intents, the young girl’s eyes widening as crumbs gathered around her cheeks. “Oh, you must have been sent a message from the Absolute too!” But before she could say any more, Astrea was already leaving with his horse in tow. The young priestess blinked, tilting her head as she watched him go with little a farewell. Well that was rude of him to do. Nevertheless, her one beating eye continued to trace his movements, her interest keen in the boy until he was out of sight. With Astrea galloping at a rather quick pace, it was impossible to determine where his ultimate destination would take him. That didn’t matter though because soon enough a cloaked figure stood in the middle of his pathway. Having heard the horse charging right at them, the figure raised a pale arm with palms open, a sign for Astrea to halt. Back in Orello, things were progressing a little less frequently as Sedril merely nodded in response to this girl’s questions. He backed down, hoping the conversation would carry little more into what was said already, only to freeze up as this girl continued to speak with him. “Um, pardon me? My life goals?” he asked, not sure where this was supposed to go. “Er, I suppose I want to be a full-fledged knight for the Imperium. Maybe live a life of adventure and slay some monsters while I’m at it. Then settle down after all of those…hardships?” Seriously, who asked that kind of question in normal conversation? He did not answer if anyone else was waiting for him back home and he was about to press the question back on her when suddenly a shriek pierced the air. Immediately he turned towards the bar entrance as many of the other occupants did as well. The screaming was coming from outside.
