"Get out of here you freakin' bum!" The shopkeeper yells across the street, throwing empty cartons at the hoodied girl who slept in his broken into shop. Starfire ran away down the street, keeping covered from everybody. It was a cold day and she felt the chill, more so than the humans who had big coats, scarves and hats on. She only had one jacket, which she kept clung to her body tightly. 

She walked what seemed for hours on end. She didn't understand the humans talking around her and she did not much want to care what they said, it was not her priority. She passed a group of locals who were talking about Nightwing.

"He used to be Robin you know, The Batman's sidekick."

"I heard he took another young protege on in Gotham."

"I prefer Nightwing though. He's so much more manly than Robin."

Star was hunting, land marking the Bludhaven city for any sign of a port. She wasn't going to have any luck. And then a newspaper flew into her face and she looked at the front page, its weird symbols and the picture.

[b]'Nightwing does it again!'[/b] And the picture was him in silhouette against the moonlight leaping through the air with people cheering for him below. 

[i]'He is the people's champion! Surely he must know how I can get back home!'[/i] Koriand'r thought to herself. Where would he go tonight though, she wondered and would have to keep her eyes peeled.
