That is true. But that's easily avoided rather than disconnecting an entire multiverse, while simultaneously inserting your own characters into said different multiverses.
To continue this conversation now that the salt has passed, I've actually got a good reason for disconnecting my own personal multiverse and the events that happen here. My personal multiverse (PMV) is, as the name states, personal. It's not for roleplaying, it's for storytelling. Eventually, they'll be novelized, once I've got the time and resources to have them printed and published. (Along with the nightmarish prospect of having to deal with publishing companies.) The four main universes include: Superhero-verse, Fantasy-verse, Grimdark-noir, and Science-Fiction. None of them are directly connected, and the characters that I use in the Arena are shadows of characters that are from my PMV. LeeRoy's the shadow of a savant who accidentally brought about the end of the world. Shin is the shadow of a disfigured mutant freak serial killer. Kanitah and Bita are shadows of a Pundambayan Detective and his daughter turned murderer. None of the characters as I write them in any Multiverse RP are who they actually are. I disconnect because the characters in their original state wouldn't stand out that much from normal folks.
