Jennifer Marissa Caspin.
[sub][@Nosuchthing][/sub]
It's been two weeks and Jen hasn't stepped out the house once. Her family (Who were just as afraid, yet willing to leave) were pretty much the only ones making trips to the store for her. And Jen has no intentions of ever leaving the house anytime soon. Not with these monsters running about. Call it cowardice, but maybe Jen has just gotten complacent with being made a prisoner in her own home. The world forced her in here, and she's fine with that. Long as the world leaves her be, just as she should. This wouldn't have started if Jen had just gone with her gut, and just forgot about Penny and stuck inside. You know that isn't true, Jen. You know you loved the spotlight. You loved your friends. The thoughts went through her head as she laid down on her bed. Hands behind her head, and one leg crossed over the other. She just... stared at the ceiling fan above her. Thinking. Thinking. And thinking. Was she really going to stay in here all her life? She was hoping so. Maybe everything will forget about her. She just sighed. And continued staring at the ceiling. Maybe, at some point, she should consider talking to someone about it. Yet, she was wondering who out there would listen. It was... something that would haunt her. Haunt her forever. Despite the ability to survive the experience, could she ever live with the memory? Sometimes Jen wondered if she'd just go insane from all the near-death experiences. Become the monster people fear, and go down as, just that, another monster. A shudder vibrated through her body. Just as a text message vibrated her phone. Jen briefly wondered who it was - probably Meifeng trying to check up on her - before she reached over to her nightstand, and grabbed her phone. Flashing across the screen was a text from Alice. Hey I’m going out today, feel like hanging? I’ll probably be heading past your house anyway so I’ll call in. Huh. Alice. She hasn't spoken to her in awhile. Her old gaming buddy. Well, they kinda fell out of touch a few weeks ago. Jen wondered why. She was fine with hanging out with Alice, long as she didn't have to leave the house. So, Jen quickly replied with a: Yeah, we can hang at my place for a bit. Can't leave the house, though. Jen had to note that she couldn't leave. Just in case. But, yeah, talking to someone might be fun. She slid off the bed, and bare feet hit the ground. She realized that she was wearing literally nothing but cyan-blue shorts and a white T-shirt. Not that she dressed to impress while home. Jen slowly took steps out of her room, and walked downstairs. She walked past her melancholic family, before she received another text. She whipped out her phone and tried to read it. You in? I’m outside. Jen found that a bit odd because why didn't Alice just ring the doorbell? She wasn't going to question it. When she walked up the door, she put her hand out - but stopped. Staring at the doorknob. Sweat was beginning to trickle down her forehead. Before she just closed her eyes, then sighed. She pulled the doorknob open, expecting to see a friend right at the door. However, Jen raised an eyebrow, confused. Before her eyes drifted down the stairs.... "Holy shit." Jen said outloud as she took steps down the front stairs. Her eyes were wide. Jen couldn't believe that Alice was in a wheelchair. When last time she saw her, she was standing up right. As she walked down the stairs, all she could mutter was, "W-when when... when did..." Once she hit the last step, she closed her eyes and hung her head. "Alice... What happened?"
