At this time, it would be more likely to say that the last few dragons in Ambrosis went into hiding.  The majority were still "at war" with the people there, but of course you can have the exceptional wife.  I think that'd be a great enough cause to start something close to a witch-hunt for dragons.

I do need to know about the liquid's hardness, though.  I'd prefer if you PM me the specifics about it, so I can see if it'll fit in the universe.
