Ben walks over to Jack and whispers to him, "Keep your shoes on. This is to test our skill, not our ability to climb like a spider." Ben approaches the course and flies through the first obstacles. When he approaches the final obstacle, two vertical walls, he decides to show off for the crowd. He takes off at a dead sprint towards the two walls and uses his momentum to run twenty feet up the wall. Once he feels the loss of forward motion, he wedges his (glove-covered) hands between the walls and uses them to stay in the air while his feet fall backward. He had planned on then climbing the rest of the wall like the rest of the students, but his feet slam into the wall harder than expected. The instant Ben's feet make contact with the wall, he hears a crack and clutches his ankle in pain, causing him to fall to the ground with a sickening thud.
