Bio: Donovan was born to Muggleborn Daniel Dunbar and Pureblood Leora Ross, making him a Halfblood. His father has a shop in the Muggle city of Bath, and his mother comes from old money in the Scottish Highlands. He has a younger brother, Desmond, who is not yet old enough to start Hogwarts, though he is capable of magic. Donovan is sometimes accused of being a Ravenclaw due to his tendency to study random spells without it being assigned as homework, and he is more likely to be found in the common room or library reading than talking with his friends. Now in his third year Donovan has begun dabbling in Spell Theory, and while he remains uncertain he will ever be able to create a spell, he's fairly confident he may be able to alter one. This latest quest for knowledge has left Donovan on a library binge and out of contact with his friends.

Elective Studies: Care of Magical Creatures, Ancient Runes & Divination

Bio: Born to Muggle parents, Cody is the first wizard in the family. He was always fairly talented with his magic, using it wandlessly for a while before learning of Hogwarts. Mostly he used it for making flowers bloom, turning out lights, or creating sparks. He was an only child, but with their son moving away to Hogwarts for most of the year his parents decided they could manage another and now his mother his pregnant again. Cody is extremely resentful of his parents, thinking them strict and unloving, and with his 'replacement' on the way all hope of reconciling is dim. Cody throws himself into his social life, making friends and hanging out with them all hours of the day. He puts minimal effort into school work, only interested in the practical applications of spells.
