Mac and Cheese
To both Mac and Cheese the stranger before them seemed to be acting like Medieval Knights laying their swords upon each other with vows. It was such a bizarre sight that Mac couldn’t help but chuckle slightly under his breath. What nutters. He thought. Cheese simply scowled at him. To her such a thing was pretty normal and highly regarded way of showing ones loyalty to a cause, although it was slightly outdated. “So…” Mac said slowly. Holding his chin in contemplation. “You fight the Heartless? If you’re all going to different worlds and going to get rid of them, then I’m in.” Mac moved away from Cheese, sending her a dark look of his own, to stand within the circle. And with a flash of light Mac brought his own sword to lay upon the others. But he still found it slightly ridiculous. “But only if we head to my world soon.” He spoke with an edge to his voice. “I have a friend and I need to make sure she’s okay and safe from the Heartless.” “Well I might as well join in too.” Cheese bristled as she too moved into the circle, making sure to stand opposite him. “I want to help undo the damage that’s been done to my home, while there’s still hope for to be saved.” A second later her own blade laid atop Macs, and she shot him another glare just for good measure, “Eese, but everyone just calls me Cheese.” Cheese was absolutely fuming on the inside. How dare he? How dare he treat her like this!? A harsh chill ran up her spine and cheese wasn’t sure if it was from the cold breeze or the rage seething within her. Right now she wished nothing more than to shout at him, to scream at him and make him see that he was the one in the wrong not her! But of course, stupid 'Human society rules' said you weren’t allowed to do that. Mac meanwhile held a different sort of anger in him. It sat and glared from the pit in his stomach. Mac wanted Cheese to feel bad, he wanted her to twist and squirm knowing she had done nothing, absolutely nothing to help anyone but herself. He remembered when the heartless attacked and he remembered when he felt darkness envelop him. He also remembered Cheese waking him up in a street corner of Twilight Town, and her telling him about the Heartless and the other worlds he had never known about. But at no point did she even spare a single word for anyone else in the club. She had let them die.
