[/quote]While I appreciate your work the issue is the same as with many custom maps. It's a big chunk of rock without much detail.
It also inspires people to make huge nations because it's just so vast.

This is one reason why I would prefer Earth map.
Another is the amount of resources you can invoke with association. What if your Byzantine-russian empire is actually occupying Byzantine and Russian territories?
What if somebody wish to make Germans but in this drastically changed wo.rld? It gives various possibilities or reinforces the concept of certain ideas.
