But, here's a trick I picked up in Samoa - if you tickle the soft part of a crab's shell(the underbelly) it loosens its grip on you. Also, as far as I'm aware, Coconut crabs aren't inherently aggressive or poisonous. Should be safe.

Although Lucifer and the others won't know that.
