Gabriel just shook his head. There was more going on here then simply fear training, and perhaps whatever this Ariel did to help Nolan effected Marlene. Why use magic that was influential on other people outside, around a packed city? Even if it was accidental, and even if Marlene was intent on hurting her, you still didn't take someone down like that and then not even check that she was okay. These people just seemed to think that the take down part was good, and forgot about the decent thing to do, to check that the person was okay. Yes, Gabriel was willing to admit that it might have been the only way, but damn it, he had seen even for a brief instance Marlene fighting whatever came over her. It wasn't simply jealous. It was almost like something had taken her over. And all these people cared about was just blaming Marlene for it, when seconds before she had been fine!
