He has gained the ability to switch between forms over the centuries of practice.
History:
Graham came about in the 1400's his original name was Galeren but to move with the times and not to stand out of place he goes by Graham. He lived in England, Yorkshire. He used to be your everyday plain black dog. Only he seemed to have a special talent of predicting of when some was near death and used to lay outside their houses. Soon it became a rumor and to be seen as a bad omen. In that respect people started avoiding him and slowly became hostile towards him. peoples beliefs in him became stronger but his treatment became worse and worse until one point where they tied him up in chains leaving him there to die. Due to the belief and rumors of his omens he was able to live and was created into a barghest. After that he wandered around the towns with his chain rattling behind him. Years past and he was able to let his abilities to grow. It took him a couple of centuries to master the ability of switching between forms, scaring many people in the process aswell as being driven out of many different society's in England; as he was unable to make the changes. He has learn all of the languages as times have gone on but has forgotten them just as the rest of the world was. Graham has just moved to america in the late month and is still getting used to the place. He tends to end up getting lost or walking some place when he disassociates. He had someone he loved dearly during one of the centuries and has never really forgotten them, only problem is that his talents were never in check back then, he thought they didn't work on them. until a disaster struck one day and he's never forgiven himself for what happened.
Psychological Profile:
Graham is generally apathetic to many situations as he needs to use most of his emotions to suppress his talents so that his area affection is reduced, but when his disassociates with the world and the surroundings around him, his emotions return and becomes who he was a couple hundred years ago. Apart from that graham can tolerate quite a bit before he snaps. As of friends he doesn't really have any in America nor back home in England. He had a few acquaintances but hes had no serious friendship since that time. As for meeting new people he is closed off and cautious, afraid of his talents and what they cause to happen to them.
Possessions:
The only possessions that Graham has is his clothes and his chain that stays wrapped around his neck in the form of a tattoo.
Yes, And:
He knows very little of this Gray Conover. He's only caught the guys first name from the conversations he's walked past, but he has had run ins with the pervious family ever since they popped up 200 years ago, he has never got away unscathed and has had many broken bones due to this family. Graham has only been in the usa for a short amount of time. (around 3 weeks) Graham gives him a greeting every time he sees the guy as they are next door neighbours. Graham has offered him a coffee or a cup of tea once in this past week and they had a quick chat. At the moment they seem to be on good terms.

Edit: Is the 'Yes, and' any better?
