Bowing his head numerous times as Countless did his thing, Leonard started screaming: "PLEASE DON'T SHOOT HE-" before he saw a good number of scrawny marines get blown away. Almost all of them. Knocked flat on his back from the force of the wind, Leonard covered his eyes with his hood and waited for the massive gust to die down as he looked up at the man with the Bazooka. Glad that someone that powerful was around, he scrambled to his knees and looked back to where the marines had come from and his jaw nearly dropped enough to knock his own mask off."T-T-T-T-T-That man is HUUUUGE! A-And those people look different...much stronger..." he lamented, clutching his head. And then he realized. Looking around frantically for Nikko once he heard her groan, he scrambled back to his feet once he saw her speaking to the blue-haired woman holding a cannonball. Panting and clutching his heart, Leonard nods at her request, saying: "I-I have some painkilling medicine...u-um, some of its strong, so I'll give you the non-drowsy medication." As he finished speaking, he retrieved what appeared to be a small tea-bag tied at the top by a grey string, clean cloth housing the medicine within. Placing it in her hand, he cautioned: "J-Just don't drink until an hour after you take it. It mixes badly with alcohol." before sighing deeply. It felt...good to help. Even if it was pirates. Then the talk of how they were going to get out of this mess sort of started, with ideas of a catapult even being thrown in there. Leonard wasn't even sure if he should get more involved with this, given that he wasn't TECHNICALLY a pirate. Just forcibly labeled one by people he just met today. Hesitantly, he backed away from the marines and the pirates, ready to turn tail and run until he heard a gunshot. It was incredibly evident, just from the marine hitting the ground, how much pain he was in. Leonard couldn't blame him, that was a direct shot into his kneecap, which no doubt meant that he was in absolutely excruciating pain. The knee was, after all, a bundle of bone, cartilage and nerves, all of which were likely cut through by a bullet, and if not there was a bullet sitting in the center of all that tissue. No doubt the marine had either passed out from the pain or was just too pained to scream. Clenching his fist, Leonard had to keep from just outright screaming at the man with oily skin, and instead chose to rush past the lot of them to the injured marine, quickly unfurling his entire cloak and flipping it onto the ground, hundreds upon hundreds of bottles of medicine, tools, jars of...something squirming, and syringes all capped off to prevent from becoming dirty. Leonard didn't care who's side he was on at this point, or who was going to try and rush at him, to stop him, or to help him. He was a god damn doctor and there was a man in pain beyond words. Quickly, Leonard sedated the marine, the pain at least numbing to a great degree before attempting to remove the bullet. Regardless of the procedure, he needed to remove the projectile first before he could close the wound. More than likely the bullet was lead, meaning that any time of exposure was dangerous. Even then, the synovial fluid inside the kneecap would already be dissolving the bullet, meaning there was already lead in the marine's bloodstream. Quickly removing the bullet, Leonard set it aside and set to stop the bleeding, praying that anybody with a heart would at least let him finish this before they started trying to kill him.
