Nicole heard the rumble as it first began to start and she had answered it back with a groan. She was not happy about this annoyance. She looked at the clock as the sound began to grow a bit more. It was 4:22. She had been awake just two hours before and now she was being woken up again? This was fucking ridiculous. All this time the blonde had assumed maybe it was some construction outside, but as the sound began to more closely resemble a passing train, this thought was dashed aside. Her eyes began darting around the dark room in a panic and she had her covers all the way up to her neck. This was only temporary as the sound grew to a level that was unmanageable. To her it was like when a mic malfunctioned at a concert, but a lot lower and it lasted for much longer. The woman plunged her head under her pillow and pressed it into her ears in an attempt to block out the noise, but it had made little difference. If it wasn't the sound, it was the vibrations that shook her body to a point that it almost hurt. She screamed from under the pillow in fright as it went on, she didn't know why, but she couldn't stop. And then it went silent. In the silence her muffled scream whimpered through the silence of the building. Her death grip slowly loosened on the pillow and she shakily lifted herself out of bed and made a beeline to the bathroom, shut, and locked it. Nicki began with a sense of urgency to put her makeup on. She knew she had to see her flat mates about this, they were surly awake now, but they had never seen her without her makeup and she was going to make damn sure that this wasn't that day. In about five minutes, her expert hands had managed to put on some concealer (to make her face flawless), some heavy amounts of mascara, some dark grey shading of eyeshadow along the crease of her eye, and some classy red lipstick. She dug through her hamper until she found some black skinny pants and a white long sleeve shirt and added a black waist belt to make it a little more presentable. She added her black pumps and she decided that she was finally ready to confront the group. Instead of finding them in their rooms, they were all in the living room. She walked in, without looking at the surroundings, and said, "Hey, guys, was that an earthquake or tornado or..." Her shrill voice trailed off when her eyes met the door that they were all focused on. Her painted eyelids blinked back a few times before she said, "Uhm... guys? Why is there a new door in our living room?!" The blonde said, the octave of her voice going higher as she went on. No one answered her back. They were all focused on the door. She drew herself closer as Allan touched the door. He asked whether they should open it. Nicki looked at the door and narrowed her eyes a little. The door in that moment became something new, something interesting, and something to investigate. She was always pretty adventurous, "Why not? It's just a door. Besides, we'll have to look at it eventually because it's right in the middle of our flat."
