Dorians knuckles grew white under his tense grasp of the railing as he watched Sophia's 'theatrics' below. 'Lies and deceit' He told himself as his stomach knotted. He daren't turn his head to face her as the two, enjoying each other's company, made their way up the stairs. Still every smile and suggestive touch they shared burned its way into his peripheral. His eyes looked elsewhere yet those were the images that bore through the consuming darkening tunnel vision as his sight hazily faded in, those were the images engraving their way into his brain. Every giggle and exasperated breath echoed madly around his ears, so loudly that he could hear, no he could feel the underlying passion, excitement and hunger hidden in their voice. It taunted and teased him, the rest of the world fell silent compared to the deafening droning of Sophia's happiness with a man who just bought her. Dorian had not breathed during her passing, his mouth full of wine that he casually sipped still sat idle on his tongue but he could not swallow. The tavern began to spin... Dorian felt a moment of weightlessness.. The lights went out, static noise bustled intensely in his head, the world slowed as his heart beats stretched out and then everything suddenly came to a screeching halt as the shadows reached out to him calling... And then her door closed with a soft 'click', with a gulp Dorian swallowed his wine, breathed easily again and opened his eyes. Her scent still hung strongly in the air, at least to Dorian it did anyway. No one would ever be any the wiser as to what just took place, even if they stared right at Dorian the whole time for he never gave off even the slightest indication to others of the world he lived in. That's just the way it was.
