I'm a little biased but just because they are pretty dumb in the traditional sense doesn't mean their complete mental defectives. Sure you'll never see them perform poetry or do first aid but they do know how to fight, plus it isn't out of the question for them to learn. I'd say compare Grav to Nork Deddog.
