[@Snarfulblast][@thewizardguy][@supertinyking] The pages were placed and a rush of energy fed into Eclipse as he hovered above Yamato in the sky. He began channelling the power with his will. He could feel it burning him, threatening to tear his form apart if he dare doubt his divinity, but for those moments, fuelled with the hopes and prayers of the people below, he also felt what it was like to be fully a god, eternal and unlimited, the epitome of existance. It was exstacy, despite the burning pain, and it would no doubt destroy him. In the fire of Kiyoki's massive spell, Eclipse reached a hand up above himself as he had done countless times in ages past. He could feel the hopes, the fears, the bravery, and the love of the many lives waiting in the hydra's path, and he knew he would give anything not to fail them. He had to hold himself together until the spell was finished, and he knew one being in all the universes that would lead him aid. "Holy Iomedae, I call upon your aid once again, as your ally, as your son. For the sake of the innocent, reach your power through the realms and strengthen my weaker form to sustain this surge until the end." It was a pact between two deities of good. She heard him, and she answered. The sight above the collossal monster was magnifacent. Above Yamato was a brilliant angel, glowing massively with a humongous aura of light and holiness. Six sets of light-wings stretched out so far that they became one with astral streaks in the distant horizon, bending around the dome of the sky like some sort of space anomaly. Eclipse's protective sphere had grown large and radiated off its surface, such that looking directly at it made it look like a perfectly white ring of light. It was his symbol, the eclipse. Everyone, all the people, and all the emperor's warriors, were able to see it, a symbol of justice and honor, of hope and self sacrifice, and all would feel the swelling of inspiration from a god they had never yet known who was fighting for them. The image of the ring-sphere of Eclipse gave promise to reward their devotion and prayers. Iomedae was particularly intelligent among gods, nearly omnicient, but not completely so. She knew about Kiyoki and the situation eclipse had gotten himself in, and she knew there were limits on how much it was "right" for her to give. As the hydra began turning to stone she had to sadly withdraw her presence. "I'm sorry my son, but this is all the aid that I can justly give you." Only Eclipse heard her sonorous voice, smiling as he did so, and then the pain of his expense consumed him. He opened his mouth as if to scream, but no sound came out. The fire burned him again as he dropped from the sky. The light tht had dominated the sky like a noonday sun appeared to fold in on itself and give way to the surrounding darkness and stormclouds. The flames were killed by the wind in Eclipse's descent. His now very small looking body disappeared as if fell somewhere behind the massive hydra statue.
