You take one bit out of it and say that. But did you see the e.g in front of it? You know as in for example (unsure why e.g. is short for that though. By all accounts it makes no sense XD). That would be IF he is blocking a spell. I suppose I will add the IF to avoid mistakes later on down the track.
Also how do they even know Cody's magic? They've never seen him use it, he has never met them before and he is not very well known as he tended to avoid attention.
I mean sure he activated his magic, but it doesn't mean that he had a shield just sitting there the entire time XD
And I assumed it was a 'testing throw' as such, meaning it wasn't hurled at full strength. The Empiress is just testing them and guaging their strength so Cody easily stopped it. Also I suppose I should've mentioned Cody had been negating the momentum since she threw the man and that he fell just short of him, rather than just stopped and dropped XD
