[b]Skills:[/b] Deadshot is a master marksman, one of the best sharpshooters alive if not the best. With a sniper rifle he can eliminate his target from well over a mile away. In fact he holds the world record for longest recorded kill with a sniper rifle at 1.75 miles. His accuracy is so uncanny that he can often perform seemingly impossible trick shots by ricocheting his rounds off of surfaces to hit the target. Lawton was trained in the military and is a reconnaissance expert and skilled hand-to-hand combatant. Lawton is perfectly capable of lying in wait all day and night to make a shot. He is a competent tactician and has skill with leadership.

[b]Equipment:[/b] Deadshot's primary weapon for this mission is a custom assault rifle. The rifle has been ergonomically constructed for his use. It has a flash suppressor, forward grip, folding stock, and quick-switch magazines. Deadshot carries armor piercing rounds and other special ammunition for certain situations. Lawton carries a Colt 45 that is similarly personalized to him and features an extended barrel and magazine. 

His iconic white mask is armored and will stop a rifle round or explosive shrapnel. The eyepiece allows him to track his targets with virtual interface and can see in multiple spectrum. The sight is linked directly to his wrist mounted cannons which fire nine millimeter rounds. His armor will protect him from blunt trauma, shrapnel, and a burst of assault rifle fire. 

[b]Weaknesses:[/b] Despite being a skilled hand to hand fighter this is nowhere near his specialty and unless he has a firearm in hand he is likely to be overpowered by a true master. Deadshot's armor is designed to be light and comfortable, able to allow great range of motion. It will not stop sustained assault rifle fire. 

[b]Psychological Profile:[/b] Floyd Lawton is a consummate professional. He will kill any man or woman that he is being paid to kill, his professional standards require minimal to no collateral damage and his one scruple is that he will not take contracts out on minors. As long as the contract is active he will pursue his target to the end of the earth but will give up the chase immediately if he is no longer paid for his services. Though he sees killing civilians as unprofessional he has no compunctions for active combatants, he will deal with armed personnel quickly and efficiently. 

Lawton has a wife and daughter that he cares for above his own life and will do anything he can do to protect, though he knows he can never truly be a father. Lawton's older brother was killed when he was very young and he has a way of creating surrogate brothers for himself such as Rick Flagg. Despite his professional standards and devotion to his family he has little regard for his own life. He will defend himself to the utmost but is perfectly willing to place himself in danger and risk grievous injury or worse in order to get the job done, this makes him unpredictable and dangerous. Lawton often displays a casual disregard for authority and a sardonic, nihilistic viewpoint. 

[b]Biography:[/b] Floyd Lawton was born in Gotham City, the youngest of two children to a low-income couple in a rough neighborhood. Lawton's mother was responsible and hard-working but Lawton's father was an alcoholic and extremely abusive especially towards Lawton's older brother Daniel. Lawton's father was a former soldier who served in Vietnam and suffered massive psychological trauma because of what he had seen and done in the war. He often beat both boys and their mother until one day Lawton had enough. When he was sixteen he took his father's service rifle and tried to kill him. At the time his brother Daniel and their father were having a fight, their father moved to strike him. Lawton killed his father and in the crossfire, killed Daniel as well. Distraught, the young Lawton ran away from home and never returned. 

He used certain connections in his neighborhood to falsify records and join the Marines. He excelled in boot camp and was immediately groomed to become a Force Recon sniper. He was one of the most promising sharpshooters they had seen in a long while, the death of his brother motivating Lawton to never be so careless and to always be precise with his aim. He soon became the top marksman in the entire armed forces and was involved in many dangerous assignments and operations, always taking out his target in the most efficient manner possible. He became highly decorated. When he was 25, he met a civilian when he was on leave named Delilah. They grew close together quickly and Lawton married her. He soon left the armed forces and his young wife became pregnant. Floyd had no other skills besides combat but didn't want to leave his family. He soon acquired special gear on the black market and became a contract hitman. 

Deadshot was used by every major criminal organization in Gotham and beyond, and is responsible for dozens of assassinations in his first few years of operation. He brought money home to provide for his family, his wife Delilah and his young son Daniel and infant daughter Zoe. Until one day a murderous kidnapper named Will Anselm killed his young son. Lawton became enraged with grief and killed Anselm. He became withdrawn from his wife and after some time, and spent less and less time at home. Lawton became a top assassin, hired for jobs all around the globe. His kill count soon reached the hundreds and he provided well for his family, doting upon his daughter whenever he returned home. Until one day while attempting to assassinate a Senator, he was foiled and captured by Batman. Deadshot spent time in Belle Reve until he was recruited to join the Suicide Squad. He was released from prison after several missions but was offered enormous compensation and protection for his family if he stayed on. Deadshot has been an integral member of the Squad since its inception.

[b]Affiliation:[/b] Graves has no official ties to any organizations, government or private, besides her employment at Lexcorp shortly after Alexander Luthor Jr. took control of the company. She is acting as a field support for Task Force X and a liaison between Lexcorp and Checkmate. 

[b]Occupation:[/b] Graves appears to perform a number of functions. She regularly acts as Luthor's executive assistant and valet but also serves in a bodyguard fashion, and is speculated to be Luthor's personal trouble shooter.

She has demonstrated Olympic level ability in all of these areas, but the upper limit of her abilities is simply not known. Whether she is genetically altered, cybernetically upgraded, some form of mythic being, a metahuman, or some kind of natural wunderkind has not been established and Luthor refuses to provide any details or allow any tests. 

[b]Skills:[/b] Mercy is an intelligent woman and demonstrates an adept talent at organization and logistics in a corporate and military setting, and is able to efficiently multi-task. Mercy is a noted tactical driver, with proficiency in several land-based vehicles and is a fair pistol marksman though she is not on a master's level. Her true specialty is hand-to-hand combat, she displays skill in several forms and techniques and is an expert with knives. Her skill may not be quite on part with a master's but her pure physicality makes up for any lack in form. 

[b]Equipment:[/b] Mercy Graves often wears a skintight jumpsuit with tactical harness in combat. Mercy has very little in the way of combat gear preferring to pack mostly survival equipment and ammunition for her personalized Desert Eagle firing .357 rounds. Mercy also carries a carbon steel tactical knife. 

[b]Weaknesses:[/b] Mercy avoids gunfire and blades just as anyone else does, it seems her enhanced durability is limited to blunt force. Mercy is more resistant to pain but is it speculated that her enhanced senses make extreme sensation and extreme pain that much more debilitating to her. Besides this she has no special vulnerabilities or weaknesses. 

[b]Psychological Profile:[/b] There has been no opportunity to conduct interviews with the subject or those close to her and we have no records to draw on. From observation by members of the Task Force and her occasional appearances in public we see a perfectly controlled person. The subject always dresses neatly and very rarely if ever abandons a formal mode of address. Mercy demonstrates tremendous calm under pressure and a determination to get the mission completed at all costs. Her defining characteristic is her almost fanatical devotion to Lex Luthor. Mercy is not a sadist or particularly empathetic, feelings rarely enter into her work. When they do she is surprisingly capable of truly acidic snark. 

[b]Biography:[/b] It is highly suspected that Lex Luthor used his considerable connections and wealth to simply erase all traces of Mercedes Graves from public record. She has several assumed identities from various nations when she must operate covertly but none are her real identity. No Lexcorp employee or Task Force member has ever gleaned into her personal life or background, the only one who knows anything about her is Lex Luthor and he is unwilling to share anything. She simply appeared at his side shortly after Lex Luthor's father died and he assumed leadership of the corporation. 

She was his left hand during the Bizarro affair and helped Lex Luthor remain publicly blame less for the events in Gotham. After the dawn of the super-powered age, Mercy has acted as Lex's left and right hand in all his major projects and operations and has assisted Checkmate several times. Mercy is part of the advance team in the desert between Kahndaq and Bialya, performing recon on the ground and creating a safe operational area. No doubt she is advancing Lex Luthor's interests in the area as well. [/hider]

[b]Affiliation:[/b] Plastique is an active operative of the US government and a White Knight in Checkmate, a senior field operative and team leader with high security clearance. 

[b]Occupation:[/b] Plastique was an EOD Specialist in the Army before she turned meta. She was eventually promoted and made a special agent. Agent Bette serves as one of our eyes and ears on the ground.

[b]Powers:[/b] Plastique has the metahuman ability to cause an explosive blast when she touches any solid object. Her power can range anywhere from a firecracker level explosion to a blast akin to a missile. Any skin contact will be viable for the detonation and she cannot be damaged by the force of her own attack. She has slightly enhanced durability as well to cope with pressure and vibration caused by explosions. 

[b]Skills:[/b] Plastique was an accomplished EOD tech in her service to the military, she is capable of spotting and disabling most explosive devices quickly and efficiently. She was just as skilled with making explosive devices. Plastique is a master bomb-maker and can improvise explosive weapons from virtually any common household item. She is able to quickly calculate the ingredients necessary for a device as well as the effects of any potential detonation. While her metahuman ability may be useful, Plastique is just as comfortable using mundane tools to get the job done. In addition to her explosive expertise, Plastique is a trained soldier and is proficient with firearms and is comfortable leading teams. 

[b]Equipment:[/b] Operative Plastique was given the standard White Knight armor, a form fitting shear fluid jumpsuit that will thicken to protect against fast moving debris and small arms fire, reinforced by advanced ceramic plating. Her tactical vest and belt comes with standard survival equipment and she possesses a commlink with twenty-four hour real time access to the Checkmate network. She carries several explosive devices ranging from claymores, C4, mines, and grenades of various types as well as her own specialized explosive discuses. Her cut-down short-barreled, pump-action shotgun comes with incendiary and explosive rounds. For extreme situations she also carries an XM25 grenade launcher. Her gloves are fingerless and allow her metahuman powers to activate. She carries a G18 automatic pistol as a holdout. 

[b]Weaknesses:[/b] Plastique may be almost immune to explosive force or vibration but is just as vulnerable to extreme heat or debris as anyone else. She requires her armor for protection from high-level explosives and anything else that can kill a normal person can kill her. Her powers also require direct contact with her skin to activate, they cannot be activated through clothes. The larger an explosion she causes the more it will drain her. If she fires a full-force blast it will severely exhaust her and such an attack can only be used every few hours. In most situations she gets by with low to mid-level directed blasts. 

[b]Psychological Profile:[/b] Plastique is an honorable individual, never failing to stride the high road despite all of her dangerous missions. She prefers to get things done right, not fast and refuses to endanger civilians. Bette Sans Souci will go to any lengths possible to save lives and displays an iron will and calm under fire. Plastique is usually obedient to her superiors but will find ways to circumvent orders she thinks are contrary to her personal code. She may not be blindly obedient to Checkmate but she is a devoted patriot and will give her life to defend her country. 

Despite this, Plastique is not without her flaws. She is never truly happy unless she is in a dangerous situation and is often seen as an adrenaline junkie, willing to take extreme personal risks to complete her mission. Plastique may be a good operator but often displays a casual and humorous attitude even in tense situations, always ready with a snarky remark or comeback. She knows she is a beautiful woman and takes full advantage of it with a natural sensuality. She has never been married and is an on and off-again relationship with the Justice League member known as Captain Atom. Plastique has refused to divulge any details to Checkmate and Waller has decided to not press the issue. 

[b]Biography:[/b] Bette Sans Souci joined the military right out of high school, quickly rising through the ranks due to her technical proficiency and rapidly gaining the position of an EOD tech. She is responsible for dozens of successfully deactivated devices throughout her career and has only failed to deactivate a device twice, with neither incidents resulting in casualties. She is responsible for many civilian and military lives being saved and became highly decorated for her efforts. Bette Sans Souci was soon recruited by special operations teams and underwent several high-risk missions, turning her talents to help cause explosions and not avoid them. She has crossed paths with several prominent operators including Floyd Lawton and the two struck up a quick friendship. After a mission requiring air support she met Captain Nathaniel Adam. The two soon began dating and were quite happy together. 

Their situation changed with the Black Zero event. Captain Adam was one of the pilots in Metropolis and was directly exposed to the energies radiating from the Phantom Zone. After several months he spontaneously developed powerful metahuman abilities and changed into an energy being. Captain Atom soon left the military and joined the Justice League much to Plastique's chagrin. She disagreed with his decision to serve a private entity that could potentially threaten the security of the United States. Her own metahuman powers soon developed and she volunteered to join Checkmate. The couple had been engaged to marry but broke off the engagement, leaving the Captain to the Justice League and Plastique to the government.

The two occasionally rekindle their romance but have not seriously reconciled, keeping their trysts as secretive as possible. The operative has undergone several Task Force missions and has achieved every objective so far with minimal collateral damage and team casualties. When the situation in the Middle East developed, White Knight Plastique was a natural asset to deploy. Plastique has operated in the Middle East before and unlike Deadshot was not a career criminal. She was paired up with her former comrade and the two retained their friendship despite their differences. Plastique is the Checkmate observer while Deadshot serves as squad leader. She has been entrusted with the responsibility of the team's nanite explosives but should she become incapacitated the duty falls to Waller who can override Plastique's authority and remotely detonate the explosives as well.

[b]Skills:[/b] Hudson Pyle is an expert swordsman, one of the best natural sword fighters in the world. He was skilled enough to once best Batman in melee combat and is an olympic level athlete. His reflexes, perception, endurance, speed, dexterity, and agility are as high as a regular human can achieve. Pyle is a master with any kind of bladed weapon and is skilled in melee combat with other weapons and unarmed combat as well. Pyle can expertly dual wield long swords and throw daggers with astonishing accuracy. If faced against five skilled sword fighters the Cavalier can fend off all of them at the same time. Pyle is also a noted confidence man, pistol marksman, and horseback rider. 

[b]Equipment:[/b] Pyle has little equipment besides the standard survival gear provided to him for this mission. He carries a single M9 for long-range combat and a variety of knives and daggers. His main arsenal are his two Nth metal long-swords, provided for him by Checkmate and custom-forged to him. They are extremely sharp and durable, able to cut through almost anything and are extremely unlikely to break. His blades are also useful against magical beings or defenses. Cavalier wears a tailored leather long-coat that has been made with special synthetic fabrics to protect him from blunt force, blades, and small arms.  

[b]Weaknesses:[/b] The Cavalier is just a normal man and is as vulnerable as any. His weaponry leaves him specifically suited to short-ranged combat and he has limited utility in long-range firefights. His Nth metal blades can affect magical items but can also be affected by them.  They can be destroyed with a strong concentrated spell. 

[b]Psychological Profile:[/b] Hudson Pyle is a womanizing, attention-seeking, hedonistic braggart with a minor heroic streak. He does not do what he does purely out of an altruistic spirit but rather a drive to do daring things and gain adoration for his deeds. Hudson comes from a privileged upbringing and is accustomed to luxury and comfort, though he is a maverick among the upper class. He rarely speaks directly, almost never takes things seriously, and is always ready with a boast, quip, or amorous one-liner. Despite his numerous character flaws he does not harm innocents or cause collateral damage and is entirely without sadism or extreme emotional instability. The death of the only person he ever loved has caused Hudson to withdraw emotionally while he goes through the motions of a sensual dashing rogue. 

[b]Biography:[/b] Hudson Pyle was one of the East Coast elite, born to an old money family in Upstate New York. He never wanted for anything and was provided for by his considerable family fortune. Hudson had several siblings and relatives but never grew particularly close to any of them. His parents had never taken too much of an interest in him and were always away on business or trips. His own relatives were busy with inter-family politics and petty games. Hudson's only real friends were the children of the mansion staff. He received the best education and was an accomplished athlete all throughout his school years. Hudson had been a child prodigy with fencing classes and horseback riding. He had been expected to attend an Ivy League school and work for his father in corporate banking. However Hudson was a dreamer and had always imagined himself having a life of adventure and action, he looked to stories of knights in shining armor and hollywood films for inspiration. Eventually he settled on becoming a star. 

He defied his parents and attended a school of performing arts, honing a natural talent for acting and drama. Hudson soon appeared in several tv shows and plays, including a star-making role on the Phantom of the Opera. He broke into mainstream stardom with the titular role of a blockbuster Hamlet film and followed it with a successful film series on the story of King Arthur where he played Lancelot. Hudson became a household name and won numerous accolades for his body of work, raking in the profits from his endorsements, appearances, and acting roles. His sexual exploits with both men and women gained him infamy in the world of performance and his drunken escapades made the news as much as his movies did.

 Hudson reveled in the fame, but that all changed with the arrival of Superman and the dawn of the Superhero. Suddenly costumed heroes and villains were the real celebrities, their action-packed exploits soon overshadowing even Hudson's fame. Most would have been satisfied with their stardom but not Hudson. He wanted the same adulation that heroes like the Flash or Green Lantern received. Hudson put his athletic talents and fortunes to work and became the Cavalier. He became a dashing rogue and took Gotham city by storm, becoming hugely popular with his charismatic presence and crowd-pleasing sword skill. However that all changed when he fell in love with a rich young woman who happened to be the daughter to a crime lord. Their relationship was discovered and a rival don had the girl killed. Hudson went on a rampage and killed several bosses and their top agents in cold blood, including the girl's father. Cavalier then had a one and one fight with Batman and actually managed to escape but was later captured by the authorities. Cavalier was quickly recruited into Task Force X and has taken part in several Suicide missions. [/hider]
