While I don't doubt your understanding, [@Blizz], any and all descriptions I could find (including the Kane Chronicles wiki) refer to Apep as a god or diety. At most you could call it an anti-diety, or diefic force of nature, sort of like the Titans from Greek mythology. 

Regardless, although I don't want to spoil anything for my lucky players, I'll just say that the identity and goals of "Apep" are integral to the overarching questline of the RP
