Nodding vaguely at Illiendi's question about his family Amano smiles softly as he imagines the look on his father's face when he returns, all the glory and power he will build. The envy on his brothers' faces when he lives the life that he's always wanted to while they are stuck with their lots in life dictated by fate. 'I will live a grand, glorious life, happy and content, with anything and everything I could ever want, and all it costs me is my afterlife. . . .I know it is a great thing, I suppose, but. . .I have this life, and it is all I really have control over, so if I can live how I want now, nothing after matters to me. My life is precious to me, not my soul. . .' Letting out a soft sigh he looks over at the beast as he speaks again, getting lost for a moment in that lovely face before the words register and he pulls himself out of his dream like state. He flushes a little at being called strange before answering softly. “Yes, I like them, the idea at least, and yes, I suppose I am strange but. . .” He looks up into Illiendi's eyes shyly. “I suppose also that there's something about that strangeness that delivered me to you, so I do not see it as a bad thing.” The light shiver passes without any real notice and after taking the last couple bites of his meal he towns his tea politely and stands, wiping his lips. “I think it is time to head back home and begin working on more of the paperwork for this venture.” He gestures toward the map Illiendi carries. “I would like to see the exact route we will be taking as well, and perhaps you could begin instructing me in some of the skills you think will be useful. He says that last part a little quieter than the rest as they head out the door, knowing it's not the best thing to say in public when trying to build a reputation. He falls into the posture Illiendi has encouraged him to maintain as they walk town the street and he does his best to maintain it while winding his way through the busy streets. 'Maybe pretending to be confident is the first step to real confidence' He muses, rolling his shoulders hoping they adjust to the new posture quickly.
