Othergrounds version
Basic Information Name: Drake Deltori Blackmore Nicknames: Blackmore, The Thunder God, The Shining Light in Darkness, The First Son of Blackmore, The Korean Breeze Gender: Male Age: 18 Height: 5'11 Weight: 177 Appearance Hair Color: Black Eye Color: Dark Amber Nationality: Korean/British, fully appears to be a Caucasian Physical Appearance: The first thing you'll notice once you look at Drake is that he's an obvious athlete. The next thing that's usually noticed is that he looks rugged. Where to start...? Drake appears to be fully Caucasian. Opposed to his true nationality, which his father is British and his mother is Korean. It's hard to tell his Asian side unless you look into his eyes which are slanted. Drake has a large, rectangle shaped head. He has a squared and bulky face. He has a very rugged, gruff, look about his face. He has generally squared facial features. He has very small cheeks, that are squared like the rest of his facial features. He has a very small nose, with a short bridge and nostrils that stick out a bit. He has thin, manly lips which are a bit large. One notable thing about his face is that he has a large jaw, that sticks out quite a bit. His jawline is also rather sharp. Drake's chin is slighter larger than, and sticks out a bit. He has a noticeable Cleft chin. He has a wide forehead, nothing too notable. His ears are roundish, and other than that, average. Drake's skin is generally healthy, if you don't count the numerous scars he has. He has played several sports throughout the years, he got hurt tons of times. Some worse than other times. He has scars all over his body, most of the ones that will be noticed are on his arms and legs. Opposed to other people he proudly displays his scars, he thinks they're bad ass. There is one long yet thin scar on his face that starts at his ear and goes halfway across his cheek. Drake has a muscular build, not body builder levels but it's very apparent that he's an athlete. Inherited from his ancestors he has deep black hair. It's short and unkempt, and just looks wild. On his face he has a thin stubble, which will grow into a mighty beard some day. He has some hair on his body, around his arms and plenty on his stomach. Attire: Drake's outfit changes from day to day. He likes the color black, and other dark shade colors (the only bright color he likes is white). However, he'll always be seen with two things on his being: his goggles and a Locket slung around his neck. His goggles are black colored and tinted, usually resting on his forehead. He puts them on his eyes during tasks that would require them. His Locket is silver colored, round and has the Blackmore coat of arms engraved on the first (Two swords side to side next to a three shield made into a sort of triangle). Currently he's wearing a dark blue jean jacket buttoned up (with a white T-shirt under it) and matching jean pants. Drake usually dresses up to avoid unnecessary contact with other Meta-humans, another staple of his outfit is that he always wears gloves. Personality Innate Personality: Drake will get serious when the time is right. Since nobody knows more about the time to play and the time to be real than him. Deep down he's pretty sympathetic, kind, compassionate and a good person if you can get around his faults. During his run in life he's gathered some nihilistic tendencies. Not that he'll start ranting about how life is pointless. He just feels like every day of his life is going to be the same thing over and over again. This thought gives him some major worries and holds him back often when it comes in full force. Which is why he's pretty desperate in finding ways to mix up his life, introduce new and fresh things. Depending on this will govern his overall mood, sometimes he'll just be up and full of energy and other times he'll be depressed and only want to be alone. Outward Personality: Drake is a pretty carefree and laid back individual. He's usually kind and (somewhat) polite to everyone that hasn't done anything to piss him off yet. Often he can be arrogant and hard to tolerate. Using almost every situation he can to stroke his ego and despite his kindness his ego will get the best of him. Drake is a very outgoing person who loves social contact. He is the type of person who likes to be around people and make friends. He's pretty outgoing, and will be confident when approaching even the oddest of people (not without a jab or two though). Making him a bit of a social butterfly of sorts. He's fairly loyal to his friends, especially the ones that he's known for years. He'll fight on their behalf if he feels that it's right. Drake jokes often, sometimes at very inappropriate moments and appear that he isn't taking things seriously.* Moving on, Drake is overwhelmingly stubborn at times and never backing down from things that may be stupid. As long as they're right in his head then it's fine. Speaking of which, Drake's morality is pretty centered around him in a way. He'll follow through with what he thinks is right (even if others say it isn't), and object with what he doesn't. Which is pretty much why he has no problem with breaking the rules if they get into his way. That doesn't mean that he'll act like a jerk ass and start breaking rules for the hell of it. He'll only break rules when they get in his way, otherwise he'll be completely fine with following them. That reminds me; he'll never intentionally harm an innocent person, or someone who doesn't deserve it.* So in terms of D&D Moralities he's "Chaotic Good" or "Neutral Good" Hobbies/Skills: As stated before he's skilled in sports, and he's especially good at Basketball. Drake is also good at fist-fisting, having been in too many to count, himself. While it's probably not a skill, Drake is very good at socializing, and connecting to people. He tends to make friends with just about anyone. He's just not very skilled in other things. History/Bio: The Blackmore family is a sort of ancient English bloodline that has existed since medieval times where there was knights and monarchs. Not too much is known about the family except for the traditions and rules that were passed down for generations. There isn't too much relevance about them in current times other than the number one rule: "Make your mark". This broad term has driven several of the Blackmores to go out and attempt to do something great. However, the easiest way to fulfill this is by bearing children and giving them the opportunity to make their mark and so on. The Blackmores have mostly been exclusive to Britain. Until current times when Adam Blackmore, Drake's father has moved to America to attend an American medical school to become a surgeon. Years later, he graduated and became exactly that; a surgeon. However, Adam has grown to love America and decided to stay opposed to return and be with the rest of his siblings. While in American he met an Korean woman by the name of Lisa Biyung, a South Korean immigrant who fled due to increasing hostilities between the North and South countries. They fell in love with each other and eventually got married. Adam and Lisa had three children, first came Victoria, Adam's only daughter, then Drake, and finally Charles. When they were young one of Adam's close friends Jacob Yina and his wife Amanda Yina had died in a car accident, leaving their daughter Nell Yina, an orphan. The Blackmores had adopted Nell and integrated her into their family flawlessly. Adam had high hopes for all his children and expected them to accomplish great things--- he was disappointed, however. His children had gone down less than favorable paths. Drake became a boy of the hedonistic paths preferring fun over long term knowledge. Charles became a pain, who is perverted as well. Nell basically choose what Drake did. The only child that Adam felt had a bright future was Victoria, who went on to become an honor student at a young age. No matter what path they went down and what futures they had, Adam loved all of them. Enough of his origins and family, on to Drake. He lived a normal life in Philadelphia. Pennsylvania. Adam's job gave them enough money so that he could grow up in comfort. Even at a young age Drake had a drive to go out and accomplish great things. He was too young to understand most things, so he put that drive to athletics. He played several sports at a young age and came to know how to play most of the ones you'd see on TV (Basketball, Football, Soccer, Baseball). However the sport he came to enjoy playing the most would be basketball. Everyone thought at that time that he has a bright future as a professional athlete. This age would be crucial since he forged the skills he'll need later in life, whether it be social skills or athletic skills. In his teenaged days (when he was thirteen) he expanded his interests from sports greatly. Towards interaction with other people and forging a name for himself. He joined up on his school's basketball team and formed bonds with his young team mates and yadda yadda. Fast forward when he was about to exit grade school and had no idea of what to do next. He had experienced mostly everything that public school could offer from good and bad love lives, to wild parties, to getting drunk off his ass. He felt like there was nothing that he could do next exciting. It was too late to learn that living a life of a professional sports career was too out of reach. The harsh reality of living a life of working in a cubicle soon crept like life usually does. He had no idea what to do next, there was nothing that he wanted to do next. So, he tried going back to those good days of high school as everyone around him started moving while he stayed still. The only thing he could think of was enlisting in the military. Which would have ultimately ended in becoming the same thing every day his biggest fear. However, his big change came when he discovered that he had powers. During a party he brushed up against a stranger who had the ability to summon bolts of lightning and transformed. As expected he caused a big scare. People called him a freak and threw stuff at him while he ran him to desperately attempt to turn back. Eventually he did. The next day he dedicated himself to finding this person. It was a fresh relief as he felt like he was doing something different. Through many adventures he finally found and confronted the person--- only to do nothing. As at this point he wasn't even looking for the person for answers. More for the chase. He felt hollow inside as he walked away from the person. Then he remembered that he has superpowers and the possibilities are near endless. He tried practicing his abilities and learned how to properly transform back and forth between his Embodiment and his human form. Then he learned to shoot bolts of lightning. It hit him like a freight train when he realized that training under these conditions would take eons. After a day or so he received a letter from the academy inviting him to join. After making zero goodbyes to anyone he went out and ventured off to this school. Favorite color: Abilities Power Class: Power Power: Power Embodiment. Drake has a power replicator of sorts. The difference between him and others is that when he copies another power his body transforms into what surmounts to be an Embodiment of their ability. This power only works if he's touching against another Meta-human with bare-flesh (he doesn't exactly have control over it). For example; say if he touches an electric meta-human then his body will appear to be made of pure electricity and will be able to shoot lightning from his fingertips. If he touches an animal-type then he'll turn into a hybrid of said animal. Though for meta-humans with odd or unique powers he may transform into something completely different. Most of the time he'll get a power unique to him in some ways. Drake can also selectively transform parts of his body into the embodiment, like his arms. While it'll be weaker than if he fully transforms into an embodiment it'll be quicker. Drake can store up to three powers from past meta-humans, but no matter what he'll only be able to use one at a time. The power he receives varies, depending on who he copies he may get a powerful embodiment or an inferior one compared to the original. He can only copy powers if he's in his human form. Merging/Combination. Drake has discovered a new technique with his Power Embodiment/Replication ability. He can merge two forms that are stored together. Technically allowing him to use two powers at once, but it's more of a combination. For example, if he merges the Electric Form from Claire, with the Lizard Form from Dragonfly; then he'll have an electric infused Lizard monster, that shoots small bolts of lightning. With perks (And weaknesses) from both forms. It probably sounds more complicated than it really is, but I'll try to describe each form, and it's perks, IC-side. Like I've usually been doing when Drake replicates a power. With the ability to freely merge, he now has much more potential. This also acts as a bridge to quickly change forms - As originally he had to revert back to human form again before he changes to another. He can also merge when he selectively transforms parts of his body. However, as a way to counter-balance this, whenever Drake merges, the combination will be much weaker. Weak enough that he's sometimes better off not doing it. It has it's uses. Weaknesses: Drake has plenty of weaknesses to counter this powerful ability he has access to. His biggest weakness is that he won't know how to use the power right after copying it, he'll have to take a moment or two to figure out how it works. He doesn't exactly understand his power and it's capabilities, yet. So, he could easily get his ass handed to him by someone with more skill. However, he does kinda know how to shoot stuff from practice. If beaten badly, he'll lose all stored embodiment and revert back to human form. He'll be helpless until he gets another power. There's a short time limit before he can replicate another power after copying another one; at least an hour. Drake's transformations are a bit lengthy, some will take minutes before they're complete and could easily be interrupted. His selective transformation are quicker and harder to interrupt, albeit weaker. Drake cannot control his Power Replication, and he'll always transform if he's touched by a meta-human, skin-to-skin. Which can be a problem, as he may accidentally discard a powers he has, to make room for the new one, and may easily give away that he's a Meta-human. However, if he already has that power stored in him, he won't transform. Drake also doesn't fully understand his ability, or his potential, which is a weakness if you think about it. Burst Potential: The Bursts that Drake has access to vary from power to power. Overall he has: Alpha, Omega, Theta, Delta and Gamma bursts Other: Barely a few months from his 18th birthday, Drake has a nasty smoking habit. It's not uncommon to see him with a lit cigarette.
Academy 218 Version
Basic Information Name: Drake Deltori Blackmore Nickname/Alias/Etc: Blackmore, The Dragon, Thunder-God, The Korean Breeze, The Shining Light in Darkness, The First Son of Blackmore Gender: Male Age: 19 Height: 5'10 Weight: 177 Status: Returning Student (Fifth year) Appearance Hair Color: Black Eye Color: Amber Ethnicity: British and Korean Physical Appearance: A young and bashful person indeed. Drake Blackmore is a good looking and athletic young man. He always looks like the very type of person you'd see always ready for an adventure, or anything exciting. His movements are quick and controlled. When he walks he tends to empathize his strength with every step. Either putting down a bit more force than necessary, or flexing his muscles. Plenty may call him a rugged individual because of his appearance - Obviously an athlete. Drake is of average height (5'10) and a usual weight for someone with his muscles (177 Pounds). He looks quite strong, and actually is. His body fine-tuned with years of exercise, and athletic-activity. Drake is very muscular, with his legs being the most muscled part of his body because of all the running he does. His build is quite impressive too. He has well sculpted abs. With his shoulders being large and broad, sticking out easily. His chest is also a bit wide as well. Drake's skin is a yellow-ish white color. Because he's mixed. Both Korean and British. Many may identify him as Asian because of his Asian-looking facial features, and eyes. But still has a bit of Caucasian in him. Drake's skin isn't exactly perfect. His skin has plenty of scars and bruises from Sports related injuries. His knees in particular are the most scarred part of his body. Drake's knuckles, are also fairly scarred because of all the punching related injuries he's sustained. Though, most won't ever notice all the scars that Drake has because he keeps them well concealed under his clothes. Drake does have a few imperfections on his being. His teeth being quite crooked, and he's missing a few teeth too. The Blackmore family certainly got good genes, since Drake is quite handsome. The very looks he's inherited from his ancestors. Drake mostly has a determined look on his face, or a carefree jovial look - Sometimes switching to a more smug smile whenever his ego is stroked. Now Drake's facial features are pointy, squared, and well defined. His head is rectangle shaped, and wide - His face is also quite wide. He has a sharp, strong jawline with a very bulky chin. He has a noticeable cleft chin. His cheeks are flat, and not very round at all. His nose has a short, narrow bridge, with two wide nostrils and a rounded tip. His forehead is large, and is wider than it is high. Drake has round medium sized ears, that are very round, and point inward. Because of his Asian-descents; Drake's eyes are slanted, a bit large, and are a pretty amber color. It's even more obvious that he is part Korean because of his eyes. Drake's hair is a black color, like the hair-color for the Blackmore family has been for generations. His hair is kept in a wild and unkempt style, and rarely gets anymore maintenance other than cleaning. Drake has a beard on his face. A goatee, in fact. Drake's body is also covered in manly body-hair as well. Attire: Drake either likes to wear a tough, rough attire, or a flashy outfit. Whatever he's in the mood for. Usually these outfits are a darker color, since darker colors are Drake's favorites. Because of his body, he dresses heavily, covering up almost all of his skin. He really likes to wear jackets, and is almost always seen in a jacket of some sort. Plenty of times Drake has been seen wearing a leather-jacket of sorts, with a skull engraved on the back. A jacket usually covers up a good deal of his body to begin with, so he rarely wears anything else. Under these jackets he usually wears a white shirt of any kind (Usually tank top). He wears plenty of gloves, which also help with his problem. Always resting on his forehead is Drake's prized tinted goggles (They look exactly like this). Which stay on his forehead until he activates his power, then he slides them over his eyes. Drake always keeps a silver locket hanging around his neck, usually tucked inside his shirt. Inside is a picture of the Blackmore family. Personality Outward & Innate Personality: Generally, one of the nicest most moral people out there. Drake never says ill about anyone he meets without being provoked. He likes to call himself a "Social-butterfly" and loves to be around people he likes. Making friends with everyone. Drake isn't too shallow when it comes to his company either. You can be the ugliest person around and as long as you're nice, he'll always treat you with uttermost respect and kindness. He mostly likes to be around people that interest him in some way though. Usually it's something he finds unique about a person in their appearance. He's never afraid to approach anyone. Drake likes to seem like the sympathetic, caring and nice person in any situation. Never hesitating to help a friend when they need it the most. He's not afraid to step in and stand up for someone. Even when faced with someone that he doesn't like, he tends to handle it with surprising maturity. Either he'll avoid them, or ignore them. Though any negative comments sent at him (That he believes are valid) can get to him. Though, he rarely sees anyone as an enemy, more of a "Rival" or "Challenge" for him to overcome. In terms of morality, it is centered around him. He'll fight anyone he believes needs to be fought, and help those that do. Drake rarely lets things like rules, or being told not to, get in his way. He's more than willing to stomp on them should they begin to get in his way. Which can get him on the bad-side of authority quite easily. Though, he'll only do it once there's truly no other way. Drake has a self-proposed code of honor, and rarely breaks a promise - Or cheats his way out. Though, many who spend extended periods around him will quickly find out that Drake is extremely arrogant, egotistical and over-confident. To the point where it'd irritate mostly anyone. Once he gets started, it's insanely hard to stop Drake from stroking his ego much as possible, and trying his damn near hardest to show off. He is basically fearless because he believes that there's very few things that can possibly stop him. Hideous monster? He'll punch it in the face? Mass-murdering psychopath? He'll challenge him to a one on one to prove who's the superior one. To say the least, such things are only a challenge to him, nothing else. As you may have guessed Drake has a habit of not taking too much seriously - Well, once he's in fun and games mode. Whenever Drake talks, he tends to speak with a calm bravado, or usually laid back tone. Speaking like he's at the top of the world, and everyone (Regardless of rank) is his equal. Sometimes once excited, he'll spoke in a grandiose and deliberately over-the-top manner. Making himself sound lame and cheesy. Because it's all for fun. Drake's also a fan of delivering grandiose speeches! However, Drake's confidence hides grave insecurity. In all reality, he's really faking most of his behavior quite well. He's quite insecure about his future and feels as if there's no real point in going forward. Because either it'll be a waste of time, be for nothing, or crush him. Yeah, he's a bit nihilistic. Sometimes worrying himself more than he should with such thoughts. He's also quite afraid that he'll just not enough when the time comes. That he'll fail when he needs to succeed the most. That he's just not ready yet, and needs more time to prepare. Drake is emotionally vulnerable, and quite afraid of being betrayed by his friends. He also tends to care a bit too much about his friends and families. These worries hold Drake back quite a bit. Mostly he dwells on them when alone. It can also hurt his infinite confidence and make him just feel like, well, just giving up on it all. Barely feel like moving an inch. That's when he'll just want to be alone. However, with the help of friends, he can be kicked back into the game. Hobbies/Interests: Drake likes sports. Plenty of sports. Mostly just Basketball where he thrives, but he's a bit knowledgeable when it comes to football too. Drake's also a fan of anything unique or out of the ordinary. Which is too broad of a category to possibly describe. Drake likes stuff like dinosaurs/lizards, and strong, fearsome animals. Skills/Talents: Quite a few. Drake is very skilled in basketball, and has great hand-eye coordination, is quick on his feet and is quite strong. He's quite the brawler. He's been in plenty of fights either started by him, or other situations. Because experience is one hell of a trainer, he's just a warrior at heart. Drake is quite good at interacting with people and making friends out of them. People just know he's a good person... Once they get past his arrogance. Prized Possession: His tinted goggles, and that locket around his neck. Quote: "Heh, you know. With all this power we have; what's it worth if we can't defend the people we care about?" Family: The Blackmore lineage, which includes several people:

Father - Adam Blackmore
Mother- Lisa Blackmore/Biyung
Paternal Grandmother - Tersina Blackmore
Paternal Grandfather - Logan Blackmore
Paternal Uncle - Douglas Blackmore
Maternal Grandmother - Mi-Cha Biyung
Maternal Grandfather - Jin-Ho Biyung
Maternal Aunt - Su-Ming Biyung
Brother - Charles Blackmore
Brother - Daniel Blackmore
Sister - Victoria Blackmore
Sister - Amanda Blackmore
Power Class: Power 7 Power: Power Embodiment. Like he usually is, Drake is from the Blackmore family, thus, he's a power-replicator. By touching another Meta-human with naked flesh, Drake will copy their power. It's not the usual kind of power replication. Whenever Drake does activate this ability, he'll start a start a transformation into an Embodiment of that power. His being will be infused with the power, and his body will appear to be made out of that power (His clothes will also be incorporated into a transformation). For example; if Drake touches an electricity type Meta-human, his entire body will be covered with lightning, as well as infused with it. Allowing him to shoot bolts of lightning while transformed. Drake's ability usually gives him a power that's unique to him in some ways. Because it mutates when Drake copies the power. Such as having an ability that the original does not - Or the inverse. It all depends. Generally Drake has monstrous fire-power. Drake can also selectively transform a part of his body, instead of transforming his whole being. Giving him access to the power at a smaller scale. It'll provide him with a bit of a situational advantage since selective transformations are much quicker than his entire body at once. It'll also serve as a stepping stone for a full transformation. When Drake copies a power, he'll store it inside of himself for later use, allowing him to switch powers on the fly. Drake can store up to three different powers inside of himself - Although he can only use one form at a time. Plasma Form. Drake's body will be enshrouded from head to toe in super-heated plasma. He can fire off blasts of plasma in a variety of shapes. He also has the ability to fly. Ice Form. This form is where Drake's entire body will be composed of thick ice. He can do the usual cyromancer technique of freezing objects, but he can also shape his body, and extend his limbs, along with regeneration. He'll be slightly tougher in this form, but his organs will be extra vulnerable. There are many possible improvements to Drake's power. He can make his transformations much faster, to the point where he can transform in less than a few seconds. Drake can also hold more powers inside of himself over time. A maximum of ten powers at a time. Drake can learn to specifically discard a power. He can also learn two powerful traits: Merging two forms together, and learning how to alter an existing form (Giving him access to a few more uses). Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks: Drake doesn't exactly understand his ability yet - Nor his potential. He's getting there, but sometimes he has trouble putting his head around a few concepts. Drake still suffers the standard two Blackmore weaknesses; he doesn't know how to use a power off the bat, and if beaten badly enough, he'll lose all stored powers and revert back to human form. Drake's transformations can easily be interrupted if someone hits him hard enough. He won't revert back to human form, only a partial form with weakened abilities. This gives him the disadvantage when not expecting a fight. The alternative is partial transformations, but they're much weaker than a total transformation. Drake's control over a power also drastically varies in terms elemental/energy types. He can control external elements as well as the original, with his range and strength being limited to what he has created. Drake cannot control his Power Replication. Whenever he touches another Meta-human, he will copy that power and immediately trigger a transformation - Unless he has that exact power, that is. It can cause him to discard a useful power. Because once he reaches his limit, he'll discard a random power - And he has no control over it. Other: Drake has a nasty smoking habit, and can be seen smoking quite often.
