[@ClocktowerEchos] It's both. For the most part, they worship Pyrus, their patron, wherever they are, but Pyrus ordered them to create their underground tunnels and underground 'monastery' so that they could repel invaders at one point or another. So, the monastery is the mountain fortress- but it ain't open to the air. No bricks or architecture- it's all dug out in the mountain, so that one wouldn't look up and see a great big fortress. Tunnels leading to the pass, arrowslits, etc., but nothing obvious, and nothing to easily get to, you know? Primary entrances are closer to the Gem's side of the pass, or tunneling into Gemminia so that they can emerge from a shop or somesuch. But yes, people pray wherever, though they all make a point of praying in the central room of the fortress, which has a giant rune on the ground that's been there for centuries- its use is long forgotten.
