I like her, but she doesn't exactly fit the timeline.  This is 21 years after zaheer poisoned Korra, making the equalists five or six years before she was born.  her mom might have fought them, but she couldn't have.
Also, while she could be azula's granddaughter, great granddaughter would fit better.
