Eeeeeh, Orchid is more in a hurry for adventure. If she happens to do the job fast, that just means she's closer to getting to fight demons. Granted she could be fighting demons now, but she isn't aware that's an immediate option. Plus contextually, it'll be fun for her to have to fight demons while also racing to get this pearl of power.
