Master Jamie [@Burthstone] Jamie sighed softly, knowing that Mithera had to do this, but wishing that there was an easier way. "How long has it been since you've been human? years? You will have to learn to walk again, will you be able to do that before tomorrow?" Jamie asked, not looking to stop Mithera, but just worried. It wouldn't do to have Mithera fall flat on her face while on the run from Iron Enigma. "hm. Do you think Karn would be able to do a passable imitation of you, to make Iron Enigma still think you are here? It may give you a few days" Jamie knew she couldn't stop Mithera, and it wasn't like Jamie could go with her, not right now. "I would prefer you go with someone else, not because I doubt you, but it's always better to have back up. You'll take a communiation Lacrima. So if you do get in trouble, you can call for help" Sasha [@YipeeXD][@Silver Fox] As Karn's battle finished, in a rather spectacular way, Sasha counted up the scores in her head, noting that while their team was doing well, the other Phoenix Wing team wasn't, but it was still early days yet. The fact that iron enima was going a close second was annoying, and t brought Sasha's thoughts to Amelia, hoping that the girl was okay. "it cements our lead for today" She said, and smiled as Karn Joined them "A good fight, Karn, but an odd finish!" She watched the Riders Blade group, and bit her lip worriedly. They didn't look too happy. "Ah, well I think that's it for today, so maybe we should leave?" Jarvis and Mayt's round up The thief scowled, and pushed Jarvis away as he get close. "Depends on how you define 'Attack', and I'm not going to tell you where our hideout is. End of story." He crossed his arms, glaring at Jarvis. Jarvis didn't allow himself to be moved."we will find it, one way or another. is love to do this the easy easy way, but the hard way can be just as satisfying." Jarvis took one more step forward, and said almost harshly "they'd turn on you easily enough and you know it. Oh no doubt they would pretend. But really, all they care about is themselves. So the question is, do you want your own freedom enough to rat them out before they rat you out?" "Right, because I can totally trust that you will give me my freedom if I rat them out." The Thief said back, taking a step towards Jarvis back, and Mayt muttered as he suddenly came over, putting a hand on Jarvis' shoulder to move him out of the way before looking the Thief in the eyes. "Alright, how about this. Phoenix Wing, or I if they won't, will take in your family, as well as any other families we find. I'll find them jobs in Magnolia or wherever else if we can, and any that show magical ability at all will be given the chance to join a guild. Any Thieves in your 'guild' that have magic we will not give them to the authorities if they agree to join a 'light' magic guild. The rest, well, we can't make promises about them, but as you said thieves only get two to three years in prison, so they should be out in not too much time. If you tell us where your friends are, then lead the way and give them these terms, assure them that they'll probably get less time in jail if the plead guilty, then I think Jarvis and I can forget about the whole train incident; if I know my law right, that's worth well more than three years in jail by itself. So, what is it going to be?" The thief blinked, very clearly surprised by this offer, but Mayt seemed pretty sincere in his little speech. Jarvis gave a sigh, as if annoyed with this offer of lienancy, but didn't say anything, the way things were going the thief would just think they were playing him, and refuse once more. So Jarvis took a step back, looking about them, wondering how long it had been since they had started this. "we don't kill people, but we will imprison you if you force us. You can't get away with doing wrong. But Pho mix Wing knows that our pasts make us, and that things can be turned around. You just have to want it, and want to change." The thief considered the offer for a while before speaking again. "So, let's say I believe you'll honor your word, and go back on it?" Mayt just chuckled softly. "Then I wouldn't be very worthy of being S-Class would I? On top of that, my reputation would be destroyed and I wouldn't ever be trusted anywhere else, and I like my reputation. So, what will it be? We hunt them down the hard way, meaning we have to go and hunt your friends down and you'll end up in jail. If you cooperate, you've got a chance to stick with your family as well as get a better-than-not chance to stick with your family, and I'll try to find you a job that can support them." He smiled slightly, and offered his hand to the thief. "And I'm sure the details of this will reach every member of Phoenix Wing before too long, so if I go back on my word they'd probably look at me funny too. So, me going back on my word hurts me a lot." The thief nodded slowly, and finally took Mayt's hand. "Fine, I'll trust you." Mayt smiled, and looked at Jarvis. "I don't know how to describe exactly where it is, but I can show you. When do you want to leave?" Mayt would look at Jarvis, letting him answer that question, and giving him a smug look. Jarvis gave a heavy sigh. He didn't like these situations, and would rather be back at the games. Still, he was here and that meant he had to be reasonable, even if he didn't wish to be. "Now would be fine" He said, "I'd rather get this done before dawn" He glanced about them to make sure that no one suspected what they were about to do. The thief nodded, and looked about. "It's about half a day's walk, so we'll have to stop at some part to sleep. Probably" He turned and started walking, seemingly wanting to just get this over with. Mayt motioned for Jarvis to go first, so that he could bring up the rear.
