[h1][center][color=aba000]Sky Pirates and the Voyage of the Golden Maiden[/color][/center][/h1] [hr] [center]This Rp takes place on the Planet of Skur, a gas giant covered in clouds except for the myriads of floating islands making it habitable for the people and creatures that live there. On this RP you are answering to the call of a wanted add, asking for individuals to help crew the Golden Maiden. These individuals must be ready to go on a grand adventure promising treasure, fame, glory, and all your hearts desire. The ocean of cloud is poisonous to all sentient life, and will kill a man in about 5 minutes if surfaced bellow the cloud line. The inhabitants of sky avoid this fate by living on the many floating Islands that are above the clouds. These islands contain there own ecosystem and towns and can range in size from tiny desert island to entire continents. To travel between these islands, the people of Skur have created airships, powered by steam engines and in some cases, Magic. There are also "submarines" to explore the depth of the clouds but can only dive so far before the pressure of the planet crushes it or one of its many giant cloud swimming creatures mistake it for food. No one has ever been on the true surface of the planet. [center][h3]Current affairs[/h3][/center] There are many nations that inhabit the world of Skur, but the two to make note now are the Iron Alliance and the Nation of Magic. They are the largest of the nations and are across each other on separate sides of the planets hemispheres. Unfortunately, these two nations have been in war with each other for a decade and the fighting only seems to get worse as time passes. Both nations are not above hiring pirate mercenaries for their dirty work. [list] [*][color=00aeef]Nation of Magic[/color] The nation of magic is an alliance of mostly Elves and Humans. Their culture is based of 19th century England and their airships are light and fast. They just started using magic to power their machines and weapons to keep up with the technology of the Iron Alliance. The color of choice for the nation is blue. [*][color=ed1c24]Iron Alliance[/color] The Iron Alliance is a nation comprised of mostly Dwarf Kingdoms and Humans. They are heavily Soviet inspired and their airships are slow, but durable. They don't use a lot of magic in their machines as they believe it is untrustworthy and instead rely on hard dependable steel. The color of choice for the Iron Alliance is red. [*][color=92278f]The Black Myst[/color] A dark substance that rises from the surface of the planet located in the northern hemisphere. Not much is known about the Black Myst other then its more deadly to people then normal and it harbors monsters that can only live in the Myst. These monsters have never been seen because the Myst is so dark but people can see their red glowing eyes threw the veil. Normally the two major nations have worked together to keep the Myst at bay but since the war it has slowly crept over closer and closer to the Two unsuspecting Nations. [/list] [/hider] [hider=The Races of Skur] [color=a0410d]Humans[/color]- Most popular race is Skur, humans can be seen everywhere. They are known as the most adaptable of all races and can fit a plethora of roles from mage, warriors or engineers. Their personality type and appearance can vary. Humans can pick 3 spells, weapons, or skills (they can mismatch as well) Race Perk- Can pick an extra Spell, Weapon or Skill (Already Included) [color=ed1c24]Dwarfs[/color]- Mostly inhabit the Alliance of Iron nation but some can be seen in the Nation of Magic. They are your typical Fantasy Dwarf in appearance. Dwarfs are master engineers but lack skills in magic and tend to like things the way they are so are not ambitious in theoretical science or discovery. They are known for being stubborn, proud, tough, intelligent, and loyal to a fault. Dwarfs can pick either 2 skills, 2 Weapons, or 1 Skill and 1 Weapon Race Perk- Resistance to Magic effects and attacks [color=00aeef]Elves[/color]- Mostly inhabit The Nation of Magic but some can be seen in the Alliance of Iron. They are you typical Fantasy Elf in Appearance. Elves are masters in the art of Magic, Science and discovery but lack engineering Skills in comparison the the Dwarfs. The can be Arrogant, Sly, Wise, and extremely clever. Elves can pick 2 Spells, 2 Weapons, or 1 Spell and 1 Weapon Race perk- Can use one spell twice in one day [color=00a651]Orcs[/color]- Are stereotyped as brutish in appearance and usually looked down upon but they actually come from a proud heritage and can be nice once you get to know them. They can be seen in both nations equally, but not as often seen as humans. They are used by both nations for heavy labor and shock troops due to their great strength. Orc personalities are as diverse as humans but they can be tempered if provoked. Orcs can pick 2 Skills or 2 Weapons Race Perk- Can use one Enchanted Weapon effect twice in one day Other- The land of Skar is great and is home to many other Creatures. Then it will be added to the race section of this post.[/hider] [hider=Classes] [color=00aeef]Mage[/color]- A magic using class, gets to know one more Spell [color=ed1c24]Engineer[/color]- A Tech based class, gets to know one more Skill [color=a36209]Warrior[/color]- A Fighting based class, gets to know one more Weapon [color=92278f]Rouge[/color]- A stealth based class, can see things others cant [/hider] [hider=Character Creation] [color=00aeef]Magic[/color] The World of scar has many magical properties and some individuals can learn to harness these powers. I am pretty lenient on the spells your character may know as long as its not Game Breaking. Please post the name of the spell and affect. The only thing i ask is that the spells you know can only be used once until your character rests for 8 in game hours. [color=ed1c24]Skills[/color] There are many talents in the world of Skur, I think its hard to make a game breaking skill but I will still say it still. Don't do it please. You can use a Skill as many times as you Want. [color=a36209]Weapons[/color] Please post the weapon the character is carrying. You can attack with a Weapon as many times as you want, but you can use an enchanted weapon affects one time per day only. [/hider] This a RP is not as fleshed out as I want it to be.
