Marcus didn't bother with his clothes, climbing into the shower and slipping behind her beforr hugging her to his chest. "I won't,". He said softly in her ear, " I won't ever leave you, you'll never be alone Rin I promise.". Repeating this over and over like a prayer he didn't let go of her, to struck by seeing her so bare and so vulnerable.  She even felt hollow and limp in his arms and it terrified him.  And he realized then that it wasn't a one way street here, he had always known he'd be lost without Rin but seeing her this shaken told him that he'd be crushed without her.  He couldn't bear it. He loved her.
