The Wasteland's terror has arisen...

2131...
It was within the 1980s where the bombs dropped, therefore equipment was in an experimental advance. It started with North Korea and South Korea becoming one powerful Nation. The United Force of Korea, as they called themselves. Pretty name, huh? Had a ring to it. As they began to take on global super-powers, such as China and The US on two fronts, there ended up regretting certain choices of Infantry and Armoured combat. Desperate measures were thought of. The leader of the invasion forces, Dictator Pu' Tunga, began to target places that linked with both the US and China. The world was at a catastrophic resource failure, and every country had to find a major country to at least maintain a sustainable economy. Places like Germany, Russia and the United Kingdom, already handling problems with the current time IRA, had large resource routes with these two 'victims', which United Korea threatened to eliminate of they could not seize power. Tunga had initiated 'Operation: Flames of Mars'. Mass-production in Nuclear weaponry was in development, and not too long after the beginning of it's creation, the invasion forces were stacked to the teeth with devices so devastating that neither the US nor any other combatant could compare. After many Covert Operations, set by the United Kingdom's SAS Forces, the Russian Spetsnaz etc, it came to the time where Pu' Tunga became Too Desperate. The shame of losing a war he started would've lead to much disgrace, so he used Flames of Mars. Acts of Nuclear power were ignited... Within just 34 Minutes after United Korea ordered the launch...four Fifths of the world was engulfed in flames. Surviving countries, being Australia and several parts of Europe, were left confused. Soon, anarchy broke out, and surviving countries ended up falling. There were a few thousand lucky enough to Score a place in 'The Dock', a large Vertical Door that entrapped people into safety for upcoming decades. Much like Vaults, except there were only ever 14 built. The Dock's were considered Safe havens, and were plans that spread back as far as Queen Victoria's reign... There was a wreckage in 'Dock-5' [Glasgow Dock], during the year 2003, causing half of it's capacity of 31,933 to leave, into the Wasteland. There were fourteen parties created, all keen on different ideas. They wanted to aim for different spreading, not knowing what to do without their safety. After a year of travelling in huge packs, each Group spread off, forming their own small settlement far from one another. As time passed, the Groups acted as Nations and Colonies, soon placing territory over parts of England, Wales and Southern Scotland. Each group made towns, small settlements followed by one 'Capital', and organised it's own governments. Life had become the Tribal ages once again. Territory disagreements, convoy scavenging, small-scale crimes, lead to big disaster. We can't explain it all, as knowledge of their reasons and first fighting was lost quickly, at around 2084. The 13th Group was considered as the 'Docked'. At around September, 2130, something emerged from the shadows. Radiation had finally taken it's toll as it began to unleash beasts and mutated fuck's that tore apart everything. The small gap between the 8th and 6th Colonies, was wiped out. Completely gone. Very few survivors have lived to tell the tale. Very few indeed. Many other groups are yet to experience this awakening of evil and mist, and that will include you too, my friends...You will not be prepared for what lurks beyond the radioactive grave... You are a settler, from Colony 7. You live not too far from the Eastern Border. A small settlement, named Hickory. It is small, makeshift, and located directly on the Hills of Additional Sight. You have four threats in your pathetic and worthless lives in the shithole that Earth has become. Your Community's Trust, Your resource storage, The opposing Groups and the Fallen. That's all I can say. The rest is for you to decide. I'd ask you one last thing before you wake up in this hell hole, ready for another pointless day of sunlight and labour. What are you really surviving for?

Information
So the Wasteland is a dangerous place. And yes, this does sound awfully a lot like something that had come straight out of Fallout, which is in fact the inspiration for this Roleplay. You'll be, as mentioned in the introduction, a member of the Hickory settlement, who specialise in Defence and outer-colony scavenging. Though this is a 1970-80s style setting, there are a few futuristic features that add up. These include certain types of kit, as well as the modifications for building-works and other useful tools that survivors may use. I say Survivors, when you were really born here...If you are going to use weaponry, be realistic. Seeing as it is Britain 80s style, Traditional Rifles such as SA-80s might be common among the borders and within abandoned territory that would've been taken over by the Fallen. So, here's a few statistics you'll need to know. They used to be so timid, that only 4 people had died after mysteriously coming across them in the Ex-London Underground tunnels. That was up until 2130. There are a few classes of Fallen, so here they are... -Roamer: The Mutation of Mutts and Deer -Brutes: The Mutation of Bears, from Zoos 'n' shit. The First Mission is a name for the first volunteers to move out into the outer world, making scavenging more successful. The reason why they were volunteers is because of the untold horrors that other colonies had provided to previous Scavengers. Each settler will be a volunteer, yes, but they will also work differently. Character development is the key to creating their atmosphere, along with background checks. The CS Will be made of things that do not include the character's full past. Some details need to be hidden, and can be revealed Mid-End RP for those willing to make big secrets. The CS, however, goes a little bit like this...
Picture: [Optional. Though if not provided, I expect a extensive description on appearance. If you do not wish to Draw/Provide a younger version of your OC, and/or only have a picture of the Character as an Older self, then by all means use it.
