That might take a bit of work. If I had to guess, the Gorons are understandably more cautious of outsiders in recent years. I'm really only basing this on Link being more than just Darunia's friend (they were [i]Sworn Brothers[/i] after all) and the Hero turning evil would no doubt have felt like a very deep betrayal for the Gorons who all essentially called him Brother. I'd wager they're keeping to themselves and choosing to isolate themselves from the world outside of Death Mountain because they never want to feel such betrayal ever again.
