[@Snarfulblast] The immortals swung down their weapons, but their scythes merely dealt superficial damage to the heavy Terminator Armour. Immortals were powerful ranged attackers, and whilst closing the distance Valentus had taken a number of bad hits. However, the Necron's greatest mistake had been engaging him in melee, where he had the advantage. And he was able to easily tear his way through the group of immortals. Even as one of the managed to line up a shot on him he briefly cast his hand in the Immortal's direction, pulling it towards him. Moments later, it found itself smashed through a nearby building. Several of the Necron were teleported back, dragged back into their Tomb World for repeairs on their mechanical bodies too extensive for their standard regenerative functions. The Paladin was like a one man army, using his experience and sheer melee firepower to deal serious damage to the Necron he was engaged with. However, the Immortals did succeed in pinning him down. He was unable to move closer to the Necron Lord, forced to work his way slowly through the wall of metal bodies. Until his unlikely ally made his appearance, fully abusing the Necron's single-minded focus on Valentus. A couple of well-placed blows disrupted the Necron formation and freed up Valentus to move forward. He silently offered a prayer to the God Emperor, considering this gesture of assistance a manifestation of his Emperor's protection. Now once more the Emperor faced the threat of entering melee with Valentus, as the armoured Paladin marched forth. And whilst the Necron Lord's body was far more durable and capable than that of his soldiers, the prospect of close quarters with the hulking psychic tank was a daunting one, even if Valentus was beginning to slow down.
