Because different vampires have different skills they also have different weaknesses. As far as vampires on a whole are concerned, sunlight is a no go across the board. Garlic does not cause any specific problems, but eating in general will make vampires sick. Religious symbols and places *may* have negative effects on a certain kind of vampire, but it is not a common problem. Vampires pre-date most of the religions that are currently being practiced, or at least their origins do. I am not discounting that an ancient religion could influence or harm a vampire, but Abrahamic religions, nah. Silver could be a specific vampire's problem, but it is also not across the board. Vampires will be able to cross running water because it would be real difficult in Charleston to dodge streams.
