Aontas is a northerly nation, situated in the north-west of Varia. Its expanses consist mostly of wide open plains, battered by unending, powerful winds. The north of the country is frigid, but towards the far south, and along the seas, the climate tends towards temperate, a phenomenon caused by the warm waters of the Kaksois. Aontas is bordered to the south by Salardia, Kalpia and the Sorenan Corridor, to the east by the Malatar river, and to the north and west by the Kaksois Ocean. The north shore of Aontas is effectively land-locked; the water there is frozen all year around, and therefore untraversable.
