[@Snarfulblast][@ShadowVentus] It seemed his enemies had been either slain, or had fled before him. The mutant bunny girl and the heretical sorceress had disappeared without a trace, no doubt to cause trouble in some other domain. He grunted as he leaned heavily on his hammer. He had been imbued with inhuman strength and stamina, but the amount of psychic power he had been forced to call upon had exhausted even him. He had gambled with his life in doing so, and he could easily have lost himself to Chaos. However, he stood now victorious among a field of broken and burned corpses. He turned towards what appeared to be his only ally on this world, and considered. The stranger had warped his form, a clear sign within the Imperium of Heresy. However, while the Paladin could certainly sense some form of taint upon the figure, there was no sign of the telltale stench of Chaos. On his own world this figure would have been arrested and inspected by the forces of the inquisition, or, if deemed a risk, eliminated on the spot. However, the stranger had come to his aide and fought by his side, and in Valentus' eyes that made him a Battle Brother. This man might form his only ally on this world, and he was sorely in need of allies. Therefore, he decided to suspend his judgement of the stranger“s powers, and rather to judge him on his actions. Should he prove to be a threat, he could always be eliminated later. "Certainly, you have proved your worth to me. Whilst your magic is-" Midsentence, Valentus drops to his knees, shivering. He seems to be having some sort of fit, as his heavily armoured form shakes on the floor. Stone is crushed to gravel in his gauntlets, and the mighty Daemonhammer is dropped to the ground besides him. A deep metallic growl makes it way from underneat his helmet, and it's almost as if the space marine were in pain. However, after some time he gets up. "Something is wrong. The Warp.... it's out of balance." He looks around furtively, as if expecting to get jumped at any time. "This state of affairs... tremors this bad...." He shakes his head, before marching forward. "Stranger, follow me. I must speak to this world's ruler. With the current state of the Warp, all battleships must be deactivated, lest their cores become unstable. Should we fail to take the proper precautions, this entire planet may be annihilated." Purposefully Valentus charges onwards, grabbing the nearest living being he sensed. This turned out to be a Dominion soldier who had been knocked out during the fight, causing him to miss evac. The poor soul had been hiding in the ruins of a collapsed skyscraper ever since. Grabbing the man by the leg, Valentus held him up. "Little man, your life and the lives of your kin depend upon your actions now. Show me the route to whomever on this world is in charge of interstellar travel. If you fail to do so, I will be forced to extract the knowledge from your mind. The process will be most painful." The man seemed quite willing to cooperate once he'd stopped shitting himself in fear, and accurately lead Valentus to whatever served as the planet's local government. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A number of hours later Valentus kicked down the doors to an office building. He dropped the soldier, whom he'd been carrying the whole time, and advanced on the nearest official while his captive scampered into a corner. Two guards hesitantly aimed their weapons, before deciding they valued their lives more than their duty, and dropped their weapons. It did not matter much whether Micheal chose to follow him or not, he had an urgent duty to perform. "Who here is in charge of interstellar travel. I represent the right of the Inquisition, and we have detected an incoming Warp Storm." He looks around the room for anyone who would challenge his claim to authority, and found nobody sufficiently suicidal to do so. "You must instantly deactivate all Warp Engines, and activate planetary defence systems. Place this world in full lockdown, no traffic in or out. Furthermore, ensure that you have enough food production to feed your population for the coming year, at least, and make plans to increase production if necessary."
