[@ShadowVentus][@supertinyking] Good, the people here had the common sense to listen to an agent of the Inquisition. He could feel the powers of the Warp closing in, and he knew it wouldn't be long before this world was hit by a Warp Storm of great intensity. He had no guarantees that the world itself would not be destroyed by the fury of it. He looked to those in the room, and he knew that they weren't ready. These people had never been touched by the power of the Warp, they had never been saved by the grace of the Emperor. And now their blessing would be turned to a curse, as they would find themselves vastly underprepared to face the Ruinous Powers. "The storm will assault your minds as well as your bodies. If you wish not to die, then take into mind whatever brings you safety. Be it your house, your wife, your job, your boss, or your teddy bear. And hold that image in your head as if it were all that stands between you and absolute annihilation. Because as from this moment, that image will be the only thing keeping you sane." Perhaps not the most encouraging of speeches, but a useful one. The image of security would be a necessity, as fear would only grant the Daemon a handle to pull on. And an open mind would get them killed, this fairly simple mental exercise would prevent random thoughts from flickering into their consciousness. Including those from outside. That, of course, was when the Warp Storm hit. Reality seemed to crack open as purple storm clouds covered the entire solar system. Purple lightning bolts the width of moons ripped through the vacuum, as furious Chaos Winds rushed over the planet. A psychic maelstrom devoured the minds of millions, as they were overwhelmed by the immense amount of psionic energy being battered into their brains. Two of those present began to twist and writhe, their forms being mutated to mirror their broken minds. Not quite Daemon, but far from human. A bolter round in each put a swift end to them, and the combination of Valentus' advice and his warding presence prevented any further casualties within this room. But outside, the apocalypse had come. All communications had broken down, any vehicle or object that had remained in orbit was swiftly devoured. The planet's moon was swiftly destroyed, crushed to rubble and spread across the vastness of space. The ground shook and the air seemed to become solid with invisible arcane power. Screeches and roars filled the air, as the planet's population was exposed to the mutating powers of the Warp. Hundreds were turned to Chaos in moments, as the Dominion's armies unexpectedly began to fight amongst themselves. The world was in chaos, and Valentus formed a pillar of sanity within this realm of madness and death, and those with him in that moment realized that they were being shielded from the worst effects by the power of his presence alone. "Tell me, are there any bunkers on this planet. We must make our way towards the most heavily fortified location this planet has to offer. A good store of weaponry and ammo would also be good. This planet is doomed, we merely need to weather the storm until it passes." To Valentus, the horrors outside were nothing new. This world had no hope of surviving the power of Chaos turned against them, but this was merely a herald to the second wave. For the Warp Storm brought with it the powers of the Warp, and the Daemon would soon descend upon this world and any others in the system. And with a Warp Storm of this power, the Daemon summoned by it would be a truly terrifying force. And Valentus alone could not face off against the legions of the Dark Gods and live once again.
