If Sabine were honest in her thoughts, she would have pointed out the contradiction sooner. There was a part of her that thought she would have to go all the way with Caleb early on, but at the same time she didn't want a child. It was a conflict she had avoided up until this point, simply because her feelings for Caleb tended to cloud things, but now Meesei seemed to clear it up in a few sentences.
