Also, and I don't mean to sound like an asshole, not do I want a change, but: Grimm clearly die to low-energy bullets with ease [demonstrated by Coco in the end season 2]. Why couldn't a group of infantry kill grimm easily and much more cost efficiently than people who have to be put through combat schooling until the age of 21? Not only would it be easy to kill animals who have no direction or intelligence when they die to bullets, but humans have incredible technology like mechs [pointless, but that's a different argument] and air battleships. How are Grimm a threat? Soldiers could use dust rounds same as anyone.
You know, I actually had this discussion at the last anime convention I attended. We were sipping on Jack Daniels and getting high off nitrous oxide. I argued that soldiers were just as effective and much more coordinated than Huntsmen. Then I realized that Grimm came in different shapes, sizes, and....intelligence? Older Grimm have been known to exercise caution and prowl borders. Last part of vol 2 takes place in an area once inhabited but overrun by them. They're a threat because they're always there. Likely, they've been underestimated in the past, even with advanced weaponry. So not all Grimm are mindlessly driven by their basic instinct to prey on humans and furries--sorry, faunus. The older they get, the more powerful they get, the more intelligent they get. Not sure about you, but even armed to the teeth, I can't stand the thought of an animal smart enough to observe me as much as I observe it.
ALSO also: were we all just selected BECAUSE of our names? Or have some of us changed names since getting experimented on? Or is it just a coincidence that a whole bunch of people with black names got selected for the program?
Because. I am racist. No, coincidence. A forced one. I like it when things make sense or match. ------------------- [@Chihiro] I'm making a rather pretty guy for this roleplay as well. Wanna mate, I mean date, I mean be part of a mutually beneficial heterosexual family-friendy relationship?
