It could be argued that while is this a game based on the world of RWBY, I feel as though this is a sort of alternate universe. While we follow most guidelines of the canon series, we can build this world to be solely ours and slightly different. 

I agree with it being a little odd to have a five person team, maybe even a little unbalancing. But, I feel the whole point of this game is to have fun. If you're not having fun and instead we're being sticklers to the foundation and rules of the canon series at the sacrifice of fun, then...
