Sapphire Rode - Airdocks
Sapphire had met her fair share of arrogant and unpleasant people in her life, the comments about her and her weapons did little to phase the girl with the azure hair. What did surprise her was that after Ebon removed himself from the immediate danger her weapons posed to his throat he pushed his neck back into the blade. It wasn't hard to guess why, he wasn't to make it look like Sapphire was trying to kill him. The girl in blue could respect the tactic but she'd rarely seen anyone crazy enough to mutilate themselves to gain put public opinion on his side. Sapphire became immediately alert when Ebon's drones launched into the air. The R-Types were small and fast but Sapphire knew that she still had a few seconds before they oriented and attacked. Besides if she was lucky Gren would lay down cover fire. She'd meant what she said about being teammates meaning something to her and she would have happily kicked Ebon's face in for insulting that. Moving as quick as her mind worked Sapphire shoved the bloodied dagger back into it's sheath (she'd have to clear that later) and drew one half of her polearm. She dropped into a crouch spinning round of one leg as she did it, the other one outstretched aimed at Ebon's shins. At the same time Sapphire extended the blade on her shotgun into sickle form, using the blunt side of the very nasty looking blade to shove hard into Ebon's chest. With the damage to his shins and the force straight back Sapphire was almost certain that he would fall into the lake, preferably screaming. She'd used the blade of her shotgun to ensure that he wouldn't be able to grab onto her desperately as he fell. The fall wouldn't be fatal and she didn't think even Ebon was stupid enough to slice his own fingers off.
Lakebed
As Ebon's control over his remaining R-Type in the area gave way the giant Ogdoad focused on the massive light and sound show that had disrupted the water all around them. It's touch flicked out again snaring the R-Type which was more or less on autopilot. The sound of crunching metal was audible as the R-Type was sucked into the Ogdoad's massive belly. If Shiro had been watching closely he would have realized something very very important, the Ogdoad that he was facing couldn't see him. This was not the first time the Creature of Grimm had come into contact with hunters but the monster would not any time forget that encounter. It had been blinded in the battle and though it escaped it's eyes had not returned. Now it operated on the emotions is sensed in others and the disturbances in the water that had become its home. Shiro was only mildly on its radar, the most disruptive thing that the Ogdoad could see right now was the weapons locker that had come crashing from the sky sending water currents out in all directions. The beast took two lumbering steps before spearing it again with its barbed tongue. It might have been happy to leave Shiro well enough alone at this point but as it had devoured the R-Types Shiro's mood had become darker and more intense. It was stormy in his battle readiness. Though the Ogdoad could not see Shiro it turned to face the source of such powerful emotions and let out another roar that shook the lakebed.
