Anyway, I just looked up the New York Public Library (turns out there are several), and apparently, the main branch is close to the Old Man's Corner.

That means that Par will have to secure the goodwill of the Slavers' Guild in order to run salvage operations close to it; not merely that, but the slaves there are the easiest form of cheap labor, meaning that the most pragmatic thing to do is to buy some of them for his salvage operations.

So I have to ask; what is your character's view towards slavery?

[@Madly33], before you say that this is going to get your character's ire, Par also plans to free the slaves and use them as paid workers once they get to the library, as well as train them as an army in order to destroy Old Man's Corner.
