Kyle was more surprised by Flood's expression then by his words. He knew that a lot of people didn't get alone with their parents. He was lucky to have a decent relationship with his dad. He couldn't say that they were close but they got along alright. He wanted his dad to feel comfortable letting him take cover the family business when he chose to retire.
