"Don't misunderstand me, I'm not dismissing your nightmares. I'm dismissing the notion of what you dream of coming true," Vegeta explained, "Father and I are confident at this point we can subdue you if you should change, and the potential for you to change is slim compared to before. Of course there is a risk, even something with a .0001% chance of occurring has a risk, however unlikely." Viral's risk of changing may not be quite as minute as that, but it was close. Though he had not begun to recover really persay he was more stable than before, now able to be out and about all day without any signs of a change coming on. There were no doubt some stimuli which might still prompt a change, and more likely than not some unknowns still too, but Vegeta could say with relative confidence they had the situation down. Watching as Viral continued his push-ups, Vegeta took a seat beside him to simply watch and monitor, folding his hands in his lap as he crossed his legs. "Forcing you to eat won't work, it can make you ill and get an unwanted reaction. We'll begin with small portions and work up from there. Even if it's only a few bites, or one bite, anywhere is a start. Sooner or later you'll feel comfortable enough to have a fully portioned meal again, we just have to work to that point." "There is a far cry from a thief and a mass murderer my friend. People have done worse just to survive, no one can fault you for that. The only fault here lies with refusing to change your ways now that you have a chance," Leto mused, giving a firm nod of his head before glancing back at Kiton, "You've every resource to better yourself, use them! Become the man you wish to be, not the man you dread. If you don't want to be seen as a monster or a criminal, don't let people see that! Show them a wondrous man instead!" Or... Frost Demon... Did they have genders? Come to think of it he couldn't recall just this second if it had ever been explicitly stated if Kiton was male or female, and his name didn't exactly clear anything up. "So be the first of your kind to be noble! What people did before you doesn't define who you are. You can let everyone else label you and take that label, or you can prove them wrong!" In the midst of their, or rather Leto's impassioned exchange, they had made it to the shores along the lake. The path which Leto had taken them rose up to a cliff overlooking the body of water, and now they could see it in its entirety, as waves rippled along the surface and the sunlight glimmered against the water. "What do you want, Kiton? Do you wish to be a man and decide for yourself, or let others decide for you?" This jerk was talking down to him and loving every second of it. The worst part though? He was right. All that was being done here was some simple brawling, the likes of which Takeshi had picked up fighting undisciplined soldiers, or using his strength as a Saiyan over human soldiers. You didn't need real technique when you eclipsed people in terms of strength, it only took a punch or two to win. But what if your opponent was nearly equal in power, or greater? And far more disciplined? He loathed to admit it, but Krom was absolutely right here. "They only did it... Because they were afraid of my father...?" he repeated, shoulders sagging as he glanced down at the floor dejectedly. It made sense, they would have given him whatever he wanted or entertained him all to keep on the King's good side. Dammit, he knew he was a good fighter, he just needed to prove it. Closing his eyes for a moment he inhaled deeply to settle himself down, slowly taking a stance and giving Krom a steady glare as he did so. "Fine, bring it on. I'll show you I know how to fight." He'd just have to think things through a bit, rather than just power his way through and throw strikes constantly. Thinking quick... Not exactly his strong suit. Shu was oddly meek right now, and particularly any time he was grabbed. Just why was that? It seemed like all the fight went out of the boy at those moments, and for obvious reasons losing your will to fight was a problem. When the young Saiyan proclaimed himself he didn't like being grabbed, Aito felt compelled to understand why that was; was there some event before that left him afraid of being held? Or was there another underlying reason for it? "Why are you afraid of being grabbed, Shu? What do you think I'm going to do if I grab you?" he asked, smiling slightly as he squatted down. Slowly reaching out then the doctor placed one hand on Shu's shoulder, letting it simply rest there as he spoke. "Before you say anything, understand that I will not, under any circumstance, hurt you. Even if you change I can help you change back without harming you. I'm your friend, not your enemy."
