Well at the current moment and after looking over everybody's character sheets and what I can gather from their histories... I don't think Terin would trust any of you with a small child let alone thousands of dollars worth of military hardware. XD So until somebody proves themselves we are going with an NPC commander for now.

And oh no that would end horribly, Terin wouldn't be able to handle a MAS, as course corrections and the semantics involving the command of giant floating cinder blocks have too far been ingrained in his head. The movement capability alone of such crafts would only serve to blow his mind. :lol
