Basic Information:
Name: Sadri Beleth Race: Dunmer Age: 75 Gender: Male Birthsign: The Lord Place of Origin: Bergama, Hammerfell Appearance:
A tall, wiry, dark skinned Dunmer without a left ear, substituting an enchanted bonemold stump for a right arm and bearing a clouded right eye, Sadri is the sort of fellow who immediately attracts all sorts of attention with his eccentric, unusual appearance. His flat face bears many scars, reminders to both him and onlookers that there’s only so much Restoration can do if there isn’t immediate and proper attention. His receding hair is worn into a ponytail, which reveals his lost left ear for all to see. His left eye is red, but his right eye has diluted into the color of salmon meat thanks to cataracts, an ailment that he tries to alleviate with various enchanted items. He has a short, curly beard, well taken care of, with the mustache shaven. His clothing is similarly eccentric, with various colorful short robes, coats and vests worn on top of each other, held together by belts and sashes, constituting most of his attire. Oddly enough, however, despite the variety, none of them reach below his knees, baring his leather boots.
Background:
Sadri, a Dunmer, was born rather far away from the home of his ancestors, in Bergama. His grandfather, hailing from Sadrith Mora, had learned of the catastrophe while leading a caravan in Hammerfell with his family. Struck with grief, suddenly tired and not wanting to witness the ruins by himself, the man had settled in Bergama, where he had learned of the news. According to his father’s accounts, Sadri’s grandfather, originally an energetic, cheerful man, had changed deeply, becoming more of an introverted and cautious man. Nonetheless, the man’s aptitude for trade hadn’t changed, and with his newfound cautiousness and need for safety, he had actually made more money by simply trading in Bergama instead of wandering in a caravan. And his father had continued the trade, amassing a good sum of money. It was here, in the Alik’r Desert, where Sadri spent a good portion of his youth as the child of wealthy parents. Sadri, however, perhaps thanks to man and mer’s common folly of never being satisfied, was not happy with how he lived his life – it was immensely boring in the middle of the desert. Sadri decided to learn more of the world’s ways, other cultures and people, and just see the things lying under the sun. Even today, for Sadri, there is no better emotion than the feeling of awe and wonder – to see a beautiful waterfall, or listen to music, and just enjoy the feeling. And this new lifestyle of wandering helped with this immensely. Sadri started traveling and learned to enjoy the road as much as the destination. He had a short stint as a caravan guard, spent about three years as part of a whaling ship in the Sea of Ghosts, and served alongside a group of scavengers specializing in taking Dwemer machinery to the surface. After about ten years of wandering about, he decided to return to Bergama. His parents, still alive, welcomed him warmly. Their son had been matured with his various experiences, and it seemed, it was his time to rest. Sadri felt like he had to process all his experiences, and became a librarian. It was better than to leech his parents for money, and it was a very quiet experience that allowed him to meditate. He spent a good decade or two just living the simple life in the middle of the desert, reading up. However, his reads renewed his interests in the rest of Nirn. Once more, he set off. Though, unbeknownst to him, things were going to be much more harsh and unfortunate this time. He signed up on a ship again, but the ship was attacked by pirates. He was badly wounded in the attack, barely kept alive by potions. Before he could properly recover, however, the ship was destroyed, off the coast of Woodhearth. Sadri himself barely survived, getting plenty of nails stuck in his face and body. One of these nails caused the onset of cataracts on his right eye. Saved by a bunch of fishermen, Sadri eventually recovered. He ended up joining a group of rebels in Valenwood – after spending some years acting as muscle for them, he eventually fled for Elsweyr, from where he went to Leyawiin. He joined up with the local town guard in need of money, who were planning a campaign to root out bandits and pirates around the Niben River and the Topal Sea. During this time, Sadri had a bad encounter with a bandit guard wielding a bastard sword – getting caught by a bandit during a scouting expedition to find a bandit lair, he raised his arm to defend against the bandit’s sword, which cleaved through his arm and also chopped off his left ear. The strike sent him tumbling down a hill, and the fall broke some of his ribs. Badly wounded, he tried to get back to base but eventually lost consciousness underneath a tree. However, he somehow survived despite his heavy bleeding. Eventually reaching camp, he was recovered thanks to luck and intense medical attention. However, his arm and ear were completely gone. Going to the Imperial city with his savings and the compensation he received, he commissioned a Dunmer smith and a Synod apprentice to build him an arm. During this time, he also sent a letter to his parents asking for some monetary assistance. Learning of their son’s quandary, Sadri’s parents sent a meager sum of money to him, with which he was able to pay for the costs of his ‘new arm’. He got a hollow bonemold stump, embedded with a soul gem, which was able to generate a telekinetic field for as long as the wearer wished, and the soul gem’s charge allowed. Satisfied, and also without any money, he left for Morrowind upon learning of the Nerevarine’s return and the call for Dunmer to help rebuild the province. Sadri joined a bunch of slaving raids into Northern Argonia, and after getting a meager amount of slaves, sold them for a bargain price in southern Vvardenfell. Invigorated by this new cause, he began selling slaves, and ransoming them to Argonians. However, after nearly getting killed by an Argonian that wished to be freed, he sold all of his slaves to House Dres and began sailing goods around Vvardenfell, returning to his old wandering lifestyle only when the decree was lifted by the Nerevarine himself. He once met with the Nerevarine, who simply congratulated him for his work. He ended up in Skyrim in hopes of buying his own whaling ship and introducing the trade to his own province, but somehow he joined a mercenary group instead.
Personality:
Sadri is a man who has learned a lot by experience. He deems himself dense for having to experience something to understand it, but he has experienced, and lost, enough things to consider himself to be a mature person. He has lived long compared to most men, and finds himself plagued by the contrast between his still strong body and his tired mind. He is a quiet man, often grumpy, who prefers to do things in a very short span of time, but do it effectively, and rest for the remainder of time. He is troubled by the fact that, despite his many experiences in life, he is still unable to make much sense of it. So he’s simply made it a mental principle to forget and not think about things much. In person, Sadri is quiet and sarcastic, perhaps even somewhat dismissive and insulting. However, he respects people’s deeds, and is professional when it’s necessary. Just don’t expect him to keep it up after the job’s done. [*]One eye has impaired sight, which is compensated with leech treatment, bloodletting, primitive spells and various enchanted trinkets. [*]He has only one ear, which has somewhat impaired his hearing, but is more of a social problem. [*]While he doesn’t do it in public, Sadri smokes moon sugar. While he’s a functional addict who doesn’t let it impair his life, others may look down on it.

Relations to Other Characters: None so far. Affiliations: Neutral, but slightly biased towards Dunmer. Spells: Minor Respite, Heal Minor Wounds Combat Style: Sadri doesn’t shine in combat, and this has become his most important skill. Instead of actively trying to overpower the opponent and make him realize he’s facing a superior foe, Sadri’s combat style revolves around putting the opponent in a comparatively worse position and not making him realize this. He also prefers to put his absent limb to good use. After all, telekinesis is not limited by muscle movement or joints, and this, thanks to his prosthetic, can make him a very unpredictable opponent, but can also be his weakness. Other Capabilities: Sadri is a pretty scary looking guy and knows the trade of looking scarier than he is well. He’s also a somewhat capable sailor. Oddly enough, he also knows a lot of literature, thanks to his time spent as a librarian in the past.
Inventory:
Cash: 110 septims. Keys and Lockpicks: Sadri still has the key to his family home in Bergama. Clothing and Armor: Sadri wears a padded coat, with an upturned collar to protect the back of his head and neck, for protection from physical trauma and cold, over a thick leather buffcoat which does a decent job of absorbing blows. To cover his vital organs, he wears a brigandine vest covering his torso. His head is covered by a padded cap with a steel nasal bar covering his face. The cap itself is lined with chainmail for further protection. Weapon and Ammunition: Sadri uses a heavy broadsword with guarded hilt in battle. Potion and Arcane Supplies: Sadri carries two potions of restoration and two potions of cure disease in case something bad happens to him again. Aside from this, his prosthetic ‘stump’ essentially acts as a magical hand. He also has a few amulets of protection from disease and good luck, but Anu knows if they work. Jewelry and Novelty Items: Sadri carries a steel can that has a single leech in it. He has named the leech Mora and often allows it to suck blood from near his bad eye. He also carries a small water pipe that he uses to smoke moon sugar. Books and Documents: Sadri carries a collection of the tales of the Lusty Argonian Maid, as well as a copy of the Monomyth and the Mythic Dawn Commentaries. He finds the concept of metaphysics quite interesting. Food, Drinks, Provisions: Sadri carries a small sack of flour with him, which he also uses as a pillow. He also has about a pocket’s worth of moon sugar, one skin of water, and one skin of flin. Bags, Pouches, Packs: Sadri travels light. He has one bag in which is his pipe, potions, books, flour and leech can. He carries the drinking skins separately. Other: Politics bore him greatly, but he really respects the Nerevarine. He also likes the taste of raw flour when consumed alongside flin.
