Friend of mine has created a fan theory that RWBY and the Hunter x Hunter universes are connected. Here's what he said:

We're now trying to think of where everyone's semblances go in Hunter x Hunter's nen tree. So far we haven't anything to disprove this theory though.

- Ruby is an enhancer
- Weiss is a conjurer
- Blake is a conjurer
- Yang is an enhancer and a transmuter
- Pyrrah is a manipulator
- Nora is an enhancer and a transmuter
- Sun is a manipulator
- Glynda is a manipulator

RWBY is now confirmed for being all arcs following the Dark Continent Arc. It is now cannon.
