What the lovely citizens of Chicago may not know, however, is that there is more depth than is portrayed to all of those missing persons reports and homicides that seem to never have a convicted perpetrator. Evidence of the supernatural dates way back to when the first alleged witches were executed in Massachusetts during the Salem Witch Trials of 1692. It was then that the human race made its first, biggest mistake regarding the Greater Good. Until then and after then, witches of all races, genders, creeds, religions, etc. were and still are in hiding. The most modern form of witchcraft, and most accepted among witches themselves, is Wicca. So far, 600 murders reported (at least 6 per day), 800 missing persons (at least 8 per day), and 1,500 suicides (at least 16 per day.) It is claimed that they are able to interact with the Moon Goddess herself, though the Horned God has never been seen. In modern times, most Wiccan rituals have been abandoned, such as the sacrifice of livestock over fire to the Horned God during each new moon in order to show praise and thanks to him, in an attempt to catch a glimpse of his appearance through the flames. However, this particular ritual is still practiced by the more reclusive Wiccans. It is, overall, shunned. Though not every Wiccan is a Demon Hunter and vice versa, every Demon Hunter typically practices Wicca magic during their hunts and encounters with the supernatural. Demon Hunters are either born or chosen and trained by High Leaders of hunting divisions that can be divided by country, state, or city. Chicago has its very own hunting division, referred simply as "Demon Hunter: Chicago," dating back to the early 1400's before Chicago was even founded, when activity of supernatural creatures and entities began increasing, showing intents of malice, evil, and wrongdoing. It wasn't until the mid 1980's that their particular practice of magic and hunting could fall under the category "Wicca."
