Sounds like your engine is fucked. When's the last time you checked your oil level? -edit- Fun fact, improper oil level can fuck up your Engine. Improper radiator fluid can fuck up your radiator and cause your engine to overheat. Improper transmission fluid can fuck off your transmission. Keep those fluids topped off and regularly flushed/changed at their appropriate mileage. -edit 2- Also, keep an eye on your tire pressure. It's a good idea to check them everyday or so, otherwise the probability of fucking up your tires or having a blowout are also high. Routine inspections take only a matter of minutes.
I replaced the back tires Saturday and had the remaining rotated; I know they're bad but their not apocalypse-level, I'll be replacing those two when I recover my paycheck from the previous swap. I also keep my oil and transmission fluid in check and my coolant was good. Between classes though I kept a mind to top off my fluids. What I did learn on examination was that my power steering had decided to go empty which I think may be the source issue. So I topped that off; probably more than I needed. On not being in a rush and having that done I decided to go in and work on isolating the issue further. Hoping if I idled my car for a bit would help pump the new fluid through the system I took a moment to turn the tires and otherwise open the hood and listen to any strange noises. I have for sure identified a leaking line that might be related to power-steering that's dripping out of a union in plain sight. Something also sounds loose, but I can't tell where. This literally being a parking lot job I can't do shit about much. So the question is: can I get this home or do I need to make arrangements to get home? The drive is roughly 40 minutes to one-hour to home.
